Evergreen State College’s wimpy President George Bridges caves in to social justice warriors’ demand for permission to skip their homework
These social justice warriors at Evergreen State College are like three year olds who throw a tempter tantrum to get what they want.
And the school’s president, George Bridges, is a weakling and a wimp for caving in to their temper tantrum and giving them what they want.
How hard could it have been for him have said, “You are adults. You chose to attend this school. And with that choice comes the responsibility to do your homework.”?
Let it be known far and wide that Evergreen State College is not a real college, and that no student who truly values education should go there.
On the positive side, I’m pretty certain that none of these social justice warriors who are demanding permission to skip their homework are majoring in any subjects where skipping their homework could have any negative consequences to innocent victims in the real world. I doubt that any of these social justice warriors are majoring in subjects that would allow them to get jobs designing bridges, or performing surgery, or writing the computer software for self driving cars.

Andy Burnham insisted people should not turn on the Muslim community in the aftermath of the Manchester terror attack.
Salman Abedi killed 22 people, including children as young as 8, when he detonated a suicide bomb outside the Manchester Arena on Monday night.
He was born and raised in Manchester to Libyan parents and worshipped in a mosque in Didsbury, not stopped going because the imam was speaking out against ISIS.
But the Mayor of Manchester insisted that this man was a terrorist who had noting to do with Islam.
Speaking to Nick Ferrari on LBC, he said: “Manchester always reacts in the right way and we did that last night. People came together.
“The message that I would want to get over – and this is how the vast majority of people feel – this man was a terrorist, not a Muslim.”
“He does not represent the Muslim community. We’ve got to keep that distinction in mind all the time. This was an unspeakable act.”
“The worst thing that can happen is that people use this to blame an entire community, the Muslim community.”
“In my view, the man who committed this atrocity no more represents the Muslim community than the individual who murdered my friend Jo Cox represents the white, Christian community.”

Liberals are always talking about how easy it would be for McDonald’s to pay its workers $15 an hour.
However, so far, no liberal has actually bought a McDonald’s franchise and paid those wages.
So, I dare liberals to prove that it’s as easy as they claim it is. I dare liberals to buy a McDonald’s franchise, and pay the workers $15 an hour.

Here are two different cases of extreme negligence by parents which lead to their child’s death
In both of these cases, I know these parent’s didn’t intentionally kill their child, and I’m sure the extreme grief that they are feeling is genuine.
That being said, let’s take a look at what these parents did.
In the first case, in Jackson, Mississippi, a mother left her 6-year-old son alone in the car… with the engine running… and with the doors unlocked… at 1 a.m.
Not very bright of her to do that.
In what came as a surprise to no one except the mother, her car was stolen.
The car thieves fatally shot the child in the head.
In the second case, in Beveren, Belgium, the parents, who ran a “natural food store,” decided to raise their baby on the same foods that they sold to adults, many of which happened to be very low calorie.
Not very wise of them to do that.
In what came as a surprise to no one except the parents, the baby starved to death. At the time of death, the baby was seven months old, but weighed only nine pounds.
Do I think these parents, in either case, were deliberately trying to harm their child? No.
But I do think that in both of these cases, what the parents did was incredibly stupid, and constituted of a massive degree of neglect.

A major new study out of Harvard University has revealed the true extent of the mainstream media’s bias against Donald Trump.
Academics at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy analyzed coverage from Trump’s first 100 days in office across 10 major TV and print outlets.
They found that the tone of some outlets was negative in as many as 98% of reports, significantly more hostile than the first 100 days of the three previous administrations:
The academics based their study on seven US outlets and three European ones.
In America they analyzed CNN, NBC, CBS, Fox News, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
They also took into account the BBC, the UK’s Financial Times and the German public broadcaster ARD.
Every outlet was negative more often than positive.
Only Fox News, which features some of Trump’s most enthusiastic supporters and is often given special access to the President, even came close to positivity.

The fact that the first cover says “comics double digest” while the second one says “summer annual” does not mean that these are different titles. The official title is “Betty and Veronica Comics Double Digest.” The words “summer annual” simply indicate that this issue has a few dozen extra pages in it – it’s still the same title. So I’m not getting one title confused with another.
Anyway, it’s sad that the powers that be canceled the release of the cover artwork with Betty Cooper holding a gun.

Miss District of Columbia USA Kara McCullough reacts after being crowned the new Miss USA in Las Vegas.
For the second year in a row, Miss D.C. won the crown at the Miss USA pageant.
Kára McCullough, a 25-year-old scientist who works at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, won the top prize Sunday night over the runner-up, Miss New Jersey Chhavi Verg, and the third-place finisher, Miss Minnesota, Meridith Gould.
McCullough — born in Italy and raised in Virginia Beach — studied nuclear chemistry at South Carolina State University. She wowed the judges early on (producers dubbed her “one of the most intelligent contestants in recent memory”), explaining that she hosts a community outreach program that helps children learn about science. She added that she hopes to inspire women who are interested in technology, engineering and mathematics fields.
“If you would have been my science teacher, I would have paid more attention in class!” declared actor Terrence Jenkins, who co-hosted the pageant along with “Dancing With the Stars” judge Julianne Hough.
In typical beauty pageant fashion, the Q&A portion required contestants to address controversial issues. McCullough’s answers to both questions — about health-care and feminism — sparked debate on social media. The first query: “Do you think affordable health-care for all U.S. citizens is a right or a privilege and why?”
“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege,” McCullough responded. “As a government employee, I am granted health-care. And I see firsthand that for one to have health-care, you need to have jobs. So therefore, we need to continue to cultivate this environment that we’re given the opportunities to have health-care as well as jobs to all the American citizens worldwide.”
The reaction on Twitter was immediate. Same with her second question: “What do you consider feminism to be, and do you consider yourself a feminist?”
“So as a woman scientist in the government, I’d like to lately transpose the word feminism to equalism,” McCullough said as members of the audience cheered. “I don’t really want to consider myself — try not to consider myself like this die-hard, you know, like, ‘Oh, I don’t really care about men.’ But one thing I’m gonna say, though, is women, we are just as equal as men when it comes to opportunity in the workplace.”
“And I say firsthand: I have witnessed the impact that women have in leadership in the medical sciences, as well as just in the office environment,” she added. “So as Miss USA, I would hope to promote that type of leadership responsibility globally to so many women worldwide.”
In a video posted on the Miss USA Twitter account after the competition, McCullough wept backstage as she said she was feeling “extremely overwhelmed with joy,” given that she had just entered the pageant for fun. “I decided to take life as it comes, and if I could encourage anyone else in the world to do that, please — just take your time. Understand the process is so much more important to focus on than just looking toward the outcome,” she said.
McCullough takes the crown from the reigning Miss USA, Miss D.C. Deshauna Barber. A former Army Reserve officer and IT analyst for the U.S. Commerce Department, Barber, 27, said she’s now embarking on a career as a motivational speaker.
After Boston Judge Lisa A. Grant saved two-time bank robber Bampumim Teixeira from being deported, Teixeira murdered two doctors in Boston
Bampumim Teixeirais is a legal immigrant who was convicted of two bank robberies in Boston, Massachusetts. During both robberies, although he threatened to shoot people, he did not actually have a gun.
Normally, a person who is convicted of two bank robberies would spend quite a few years in jail.
But Teixeirais’s judge was social justice warrior Lisa A. Grant. And Judge Grant cares more about criminals than she cares about law abiding people.
Since Judge Grant cares more about criminals than she cares about law abiding people, she sentenced Teixeirais to a combined 364 days in prison for his two bank robbery convictions.
By giving Teixeirais such a ridiculously short sentence, Grant saved Teixeirais from being deported.
If an immigrant who is convicted of a crime spends 365 days or longer in prison, then after his sentence is completed, he gets deported. If he spends 364 days or less in prison, then after his sentence is completed, he gets to stay in the U.S. Judge Grant was well aware of this when she sentenced Teixeirais to 364 days in prison.
After Teixeirais got out of prison, he murdered two doctors in Boston.
These two murders are Teixeirais’s fault – but they are also the fault of Judge Grant.
Judge Grant cares more about criminals than she cares about law abiding people, and these two murders are the direct result of her choice to save Teixeirais from being deported.
The government imposed Islamization of Hamtramck, Michigan continues with a girls-only prom
According to this 2015 article from the Washington Post, Hamtramck, Michigan is the first Muslim majority city in the U.S., and Muslims make up the majority of its city council. At the time the article was published, this Muslim majority city council had done at least two things to force the rest of the city to adopt the Muslim way of life.
First, the city council banned business owners within 500 feet of any of the city’s mosques from obtaining a liquor license.
Secondly, the city gave all of these mosques an exemption from the city’s noise ordinance, so they can use electronic amplification to loudly broadcast the Muslim call to prayer five times a day, every day. Residents who live near these mosques have complained that this wakes them up at 6 a.m.
Now in 2017, we have something new, a third thing.
Hamtramck High School is a public high school in the city.
It has just been reported that this government owned, operated, and funded high school will be having a “safe space” prom for Muslim girls, where boys will be banned.
The prom was suggested by female Muslim students, who said they wanted to be able to expose their hair without it being seen by boys.
The government owned and operated school said OK.
And thus, government sponsored Islamization in the U.S. continues.
But what about biological boys who self-identify as girls? Will they be allowed to attend this prom, or will they be banned? So far, I haven’t been able to find any answer to that.

After years of hard work and studying, Trayvon Martin has earned a well deserved bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science from Florida Memorial University
According to this article from the New York Times, Trayvon Martin was just awarded a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science from Florida Memorial University.
Martin worked very hard to earn this degree.
For example, after a school security camera showed Martin marking graffiti, a search of his backpack showed that it contained 12 pieces of women’s jewelry, including silver wedding rings, and earrings with diamonds. The backpack also had a screwdriver, which is often used as a tool by burglars. Martin said that the jewelry belonged to a friend, but refused to say who that friend was. It’s nice that Martin has such an interest in geology and metallurgy. It’s also a good sign of Martin’s moral character that he protected his friend.
In addition, testing showed that there was THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, in Martin’s system. This is exactly the kind of thing that pilots need in order to safely transport their passengers.
Furthermore, Martin broke George Zimmerman’s nose, and smashed Zimmerman’s head against the concrete. There are very few pilots who have ever managed to achieve this much bodily harm to Zimmerman.
Based on all of these accomplishments, I’m certain that Martin will make an excellent pilot. I can’t wait to have him as my pilot the next time I go on vacation.
I’m sure that Martin’s degree will greatly enhance the reputation of Florida Memorial University, as well as increase the prestige and earning potential of its graduates.
When it comes to STEM subjects, MIT, Caltech, and Carnegie Mellon are usually considered to be the best universities. And for sure, the people who go to these great halls of learning do possess a superior level of intellect and intelligence. But I think Martin’s hard work and achievements have shown that Florida Memorial University outperforms and eclipses them all when it comes to attracting, teaching, and graduating the very best and brightest mathematical and scientific geniuses.
I have no doubt that Martin will go on to win a Nobel Prize in Physics, as well as a Fields Medal.
Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Newton, Einstein, and Hawking are all well regarded for their scientific genius, and I’m certain that in 500 years from now, Martin’s name will be just as well known for his contributions to the world of scientific knowledge and discovery.
Italian court bans Uber because it’s BETTER than traditional taxis
Well this takes the cake. In Italy, a court has banned Uber.
Not because it’s dangerous.
And not because its customers were complaining about it.
Instead, the court banned Uber because – get this – it is BETTER than traditional taxis.
The legal term for this is “unfair competition.”
The complaint against Uber was filed by taxi driver unions.
I support unions when they do things that actually make sense, such as protecting the safety of coal miners.
I oppose unions when they do ridiculous things, such as trying to ban “unfair competition.”
If “unfair competition” was never allowed to exist, we would all be cavemen.

A Rochester woman has been arrested for falsely accusing a New York State trooper of making racial slurs during a traffic stop in Cayuga County, state police said Wednesday.
On Jan. 29, 2017, state police stopped 36-year-old Tiffany Robinson-Clarke on Route 38 in the town of Moravia.
According to a press release, Robinson-Clarke was on the phone with her husband — an inmate at the Cayuga Correctional Facility — throughout the entire traffic stop. Thus, police said the entire encounter was recorded.
After the traffic stop, Robinson-Clarke contacted state police in Auburn and accused the trooper of making racial slurs toward her after issuing a ticket.
Upon investigating Robinson-Clarke’s complaint, troopers recovered the entire taped conversation from the correctional facility, which allegedly exonerated the trooper of the false allegation.
Police arrested Robinson-Clarke Tuesday. She was charged with falsely swearing to a written statement and falsely reporting an incident, both misdemeanors.
Robinson-Clarke was arraigned in the Town of Hayden Court and released on $500 bail. She was scheduled to return to court May 31.

During the original 1996 broadcast of the “Probability” episode of the TV program “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” there was a segment that explained how a person’s gender is determined by genetics.
In 2017, Netflix aired a version of this episode in which this segment had been removed.
I don’t know if it was Netflix, Nye himself, or some other party that instigated this censorship.

Fyre Festival scammer Ja Rule says his scam is “NOT A SCAM” and that his scam is “NOT MY FAULT”
A recent scam carried out by Billy McFarland and Ja Rule was falsely sold as a music festival.
Customers, who paid as much as $250,000 each, were told that they would be staying in “modern, eco-friendly, geodesic domes” and that they would be served gourmet celebrity chef meals.
Instead of getting those accommodations, they ended up staying in disaster relief tents with dirt floors and port-a-potties.

Scientists have revealed a robotic drill that can cut the most sensitive brain surgery down from two hours to two and a half minutes.
The machine, developed at the University of Utah, is being hailed as a potential breakthrough in survival for brain patients as the reduced time they spend in surgery will drastically cut the chances of infection.
Researchers say can make one type of complex cranial surgery 50 times faster than standard procedures.
They say the drill produces fast, clean, and safe cuts, reducing the time the wound is open and the patient anaesthetized, which also decreases the chances of human error, as well as the cost of surgery.
In complex surgeries, especially cranial surgeries, surgeons typically use hand drills to make intricate openings, adding hours to a procedure.
Dr William Couldwell, neurosurgeon at University of Utah, she said: “It was like doing archaeology. We had to slowly take away the bone to avoid sensitive structures.
“We knew the technology was already available in the machine world, but no one ever applied it to medical applications.”
Under the new system, patients will undergo CT scans to establish the exact location of sensitive structures such as nerves, major veins and arteries that must be avoided.
Surgeons use this information to program the cutting path of the drill and the surgeon can program safety barriers along the cutting path within 1 mm of sensitive structures.
Dr A.K. Balaji, who also worked on the drill, said: “The software lets the surgeon choose the optimum path from point A to point B, like Google Maps.
“Think of the barriers like a construction zone. You slow down to navigate it safely.”
The drill does the heavy lifting by removing most of the bone, similar to a mill, accurately and rapidly.
It has so far not been tested on a human patient.
The research was published in the journal Neurosurgical Focus.

A teenager who groped eight women as they swam at one of Queensland’s busiest beaches has been placed on two years’ probation by a Gold Coast judge.
The Afghan-born 17-year-old, who cannot be identified because he committed the offences as a juvenile, spent two hours grabbing women, aged between 15 and 24 years, as he swam between the flags at Surfers Paradise Beach on January 16 last year.
The offending stopped when three of the victims approached the lifeguard on duty and he then notified police.
The teenager was initially charged as an adult because he had no birth records from Afghanistan.
He was sentenced today as a juvenile in the District Court at Southport after pleading guilty to nine charges of sexual assault and three charges of common assault.
Two of the victims, who were aged 15 years at the time of the offending, were present in court.
Victims approached in ‘predatory manner’
Judge David Kent heard the Victoria-based defendant grabbed his victims on their bottoms, breasts and, in three cases, their vaginas.
Crown prosecutor Nick McGhee said the defendant was seen swimming up to his victims “in quite a predatory manner”.
When questioned by the lifeguard on duty, the defendant allegedly said: “If I just say sorry, can we forget all about it?”
During sentencing, Judge Kent accepted the teenager grew up in difficult circumstances in Afghanistan and his father died in 2011.
He went on to say his behaviour, while holidaying on the Gold Coast with his family, was unacceptable.
“You indulged in behaviour which was essentially groping,” he said. “Essentially touching private parts.”
The judge placed the Victorian teenager on two years’ probation and no conviction was recorded.
