Trump has a new proposal for dealing with undocumented immigrants

President Trump has a pretty nasty proposal for dealing with undocumented immigrants who try to climb over the border wall that he is planning to build.

On the positive side, at least he lets family members stay together.

Fox News, July 27, 2018: Obama administration approved $200G grant to group with Al Qaeda ties

Obama administration approved $200G grant to group with Al Qaeda ties

July 27, 2018

The Obama administration approved a $200,000 grant to a group in Sudan with ties to Al Qaeda even though it had been designated a terrorist-financing organization by the U.S. years earlier, a conservative think tank revealed this week.

Further, an agency official acknowledged the prior administration allowed taxpayer money to flow to the group even after its designation was discovered.

The 2014 grant to the Islamic Relief Agency, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, was revealed by Sam Westrop of the Middle East Forum in a story for the National Review.

“More stunningly, government officials specifically authorized the release of at least $115,000 of this grant even after learning that it was a designated terror organization,” Westrop wrote in the article.

If the biggest racism problem in the U.S. is whites being racist against blacks, then how come the rate of “whites killed by blacks” is more than 12 times the rate of “blacks killed by whites”?

As I’ve pointed out many times before,  the Black Lives Matter protestors don’t care about the 93% of black murder victims who are killed by other blacks.

Here’s a webpage from the FBI that gives even more info.

Someone took the info from that FBI link and created this chart. Please note that all of the numbers are per capita based on the murderer’s race. (I don’t know who created the chart, but I got it from here.)

I think that chart is extremely informative.

If the biggest racism problem in the U.S. is whites being racist against blacks, then how come the rate of “whites killed by blacks” is more than 12 times the rate of “blacks killed by whites”?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez exposes her extreme ignorance by falsely claiming, “Just last year we gave the military a $700 billion budget increase”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just said:

“Just last year we gave the military a $700 billion budget increase”

I immediately knew that couldn’t possibly be true, because the entire budget of the military is approximately that amount.

So I did some googling, and came up with this CNBC article from last year, which is titled

“Senate passes $700 billion defense policy bill, backing Trump call for steep increase in military spending”

So it’s just as I had thought. The $700 billion does not represent the increase. Instead, it represents the total military budget.

Ocasio-Cortez was either deliberately lying when she said the $700 billion was an increase, or she has an incredibly extreme ignorance of the federal budget.

I don’t think she was deliberately lying.

Instead, I think she is extremely ignorant about the numbers in the federal budget.

And this is the person that the Democrats nominated to run for the U.S. Congress, in a district which is so heavily blue that she is almost guaranteed to win?

Hilarious!

Apparently, Anne Hathaway either doesn’t know or doesn’t care that 93% of black murder victims are murdered by other blacks

Anne Hathaway just said:

“White people — including me, including you — must take into the marrow of our privileged bones the truth that ALL black people fear for their lives DAILY in America and have done so for GENERATIONS. White people DO NOT have equivalence for this fear of violence. Given those givens, we must ask our (white) selves — how ‘decent’ are we really? Not in our intent, but in our actions? In our lack of action?”

Apparently, Hathaway either doesn’t know or doesn’t care that 93% of black murder victims are murdered by other blacks.

In my opinion, the fact that Maxine Waters supporters stole an American flag is far more significant than the fact that they burned it

This article from the Washington Times includes the following photograph of Maxine Waters supporters burning an American flag:

As a libertarian who believes in free speech and property rights, I think it should be legal to burn the American flag as long as both of the following conditions are met:

1) The flag being burned is the property of the person (or people) who is (or are) burning it, i.e., the flag is not stolen.

and

2) The flag is burned in a manner that is in accordance with all of the fire and safety laws, i.e., the flag burning doesn’t pose a physical threat or fire hazard to the lives or property of other people.

Well, the particular incident in the above photograph fails this test, because, according to the same article from the Washington Times:

A small crowd that gathered Thursday outside the Los Angeles office of U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters to counter an expected protest by a self-styled militia group burned an American flag taken from the back of a pickup truck.

The vehicle, occupied by two men who appeared to be white, was stopped by the crowd. Some marchers opened the doors and one grabbed the flag flying on a pole in the bed of the truck, which sped off.

In other words, they stole the flag.

In my opinion, the fact that these Maxine Waters supporters stole an American flag is far more significant than the fact that they burned it.

I hope the person who stole the flag is prosecuted for robbery.

And I hope the people who blocked the vehicle and opened its doors are charged as accessories to robbery.

There is no excuse for committing robbery. Shame on them.

San Francisco spends $37,000 on each homeless person per year. So why are they still homeless?

I just came across this news article from the San Francisco affiliate of NBC News:

San Francisco is slated to spend nearly $280 million this year on housing and services for the homeless — a roughly 40 percent increase compared to just five years ago. Over that same span, however, the number of homeless in the city has largely remained the same at about 7,500 people, according to city counts.

In other words, San Francisco spends $37,000 on each homeless person per year.

So why are they still homeless?

My best guess is that it’s because this spending is more about helping the government bureaucrats and social workers than it is about actually helping the homeless.

Kimberley Johnson’s recent racist comment is more offensive than Roseanne Barr’s. Colion Noir’s response is awesome.

Huffington Post writer Kimberley Johnson recently made the following tweet:

“Out on the road the other day I saw an affluent black man driving a BMW with two bumper-stickers. One was pro-NRA and the other one was a Tea Party sticker that read, ‘Don’t tread on me.’ This left me very confused.”

In my opinion, that’s a lot worse than what Roseanne Barr said six weeks ago. Barr was commenting on what she perceived to be a certain physical resemblance. Johnson’s comment is about what she believes people are supposed to think. What a person thinks is a lot more personal than their physical appearance. Barr’s comment was offensive. Johnson’s comment was dehumanizing.

Fortunately, in one of the best commentaries ever on the subject of racism, Colion Noir went on Fox News, and invited Johnson to appear on his own show to have a discussion about this. I encourage everyone here to watch his appearance:

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just buy new crayons?

A woman named Emily Skopov started a non-profit organization called No Crayon Left Behind.

The charity collects used crayons from restaurants and other organizations and gives them to people who can’t afford them.

When the collected crayons are misshapen, Skopov melts them down on her own stove and molds them into new crayons.

Skopov said she spends approximately 45 hours a week volunteering for No Crayon Left Behind.

In addition, she hired a consultant and has a paid staff as well.

She also rents an office.

Skopov said of her endeavor:

“I purposely haven’t kept track of how much I’ve spent because it would freak me out, but it’s got to be thousands of dollars.”

Meanwhile, Wal-Mart sells a box of 64 brand new crayons for $2.94.

So here’s my question: Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just buy new crayons?

Using a gun for self defense is real female empowerment in action, and I invite anti-gun activists and left wing feminists to explain why this particular example should be illegal

I’ve posted this meme before – it’s one of my favorites. (I would give credit to the person who created it, but I don’t know who that is.)

Update: Thanks to gdruzek for posting the following in the comment section:

The lady is Betty and the photographs are by Oleg Volk. I hope you can amend your article to reflect that. Oh, and he also writes for the Dillon Precision “Blue Press.”

I used google and found this link, which does indeed give Oleg Volk credit for the image:

http://www.militia-of-florida.com/rkba_images2/index2.html

This article from Fox News descrbes a real life example of the meme in action. You can even see it in the security video at the link (which can’t be embedded here.)

And please note that the trigger was never pulled. Just showing the gun was enough to scare the bad guy away.

In the video, the guy is clearly pissed off that the woman had a gun.

This is real female empowerment in action, and I can’t understand why anyone who calls themself a feminist would be against it.

If anyone here opposes the use of a gun in this particular instance, then please offer an alternative (in the comment section) for what the innocent people should have done instead. And please keep in mind that during the several minutes it takes for the police to respond, this scumbag could have killed this innocent person.

Watch: Pistol-packing waitress defends George Webb co-worker during attack

July 8, 2018

A waitress with a concealed carry permit defended her co-worker after an irate customer went behind the counter and punched her, newly released video reveals.

The attack at George Webb restaurant in Milwaukee on June 28 could have been much worse, according to Alderman Bob Donovan, who made the footage public.

I thank God the other waitress had a concealed carry weapon, has a permit… I shudder to think, had she not been there and had she not had this weapon, what this guy might have done,” Donovan told Fox 6.

The suspect, who is a regular at the restaurant and reportedly had been cursing at his server throughout the night for taking too long with his order, came behind the counter and punched her in the face.

Within seconds, the woman’s colleague pulled out a handgun from her waistband and pointed at him until he backed off.

Although the suspect has not been arrested, Fox 6 reports that Milwaukee police know who they are looking for and that the man is allegedly a drug dealer.

According to local media, the victim is back at work and she said the restaurant’s owner allows employees to carry a concealed weapon as long as they have a permit.

“It is sickening to see this unsuspecting worker assaulted so brutally by this individual,” Donovan said. “For a man to do that to some innocent woman, it’s just beyond me.”

Media bias: Wikipedia has repeatedly removed reliably sourced information about how hunting endangered animals, when done properly, makes their populations get bigger

Wikipedia has repeatedly removed the following reliably sourced information from its Trophy hunting article. (The deletion history can be seen here, here, here, and here.)

In 2015, a Texas hunter who had won an auction paid $350,000 for legal permission to kill an endangered black rhinoceros in Namibia. The Washington Post wrote the following about the particular animal that was chosen for this kill: “The bull, Knowlton said, was a problem in his own herd. The animal was too old to breed but so aggressive that it had already killed calves, cows and and other male rhinoceroses in a jealous rage.” The money was used to fund conservation efforts. Namibia’s Ministry of Environment and Tourism had approved of the kill. The meat was eaten by residents of a nearby village.

In 2017, a hunter paid $35,000 for permission to kill one bongo at a ranch in Texas. The ranch’s manager said this was enough money to feed the ranch’s approximately 30 remaining bongos for an entire year.

In 2017, wildlife experts said the ranches in Texas had more blackbuck antelope than their native country of India.

In 2018, a hunter from Kentucky legally killed an adult male giraffe in South Africa. Because this particular male was too old to breed, and because it had previously killed three younger adult males who were capable of breeding, this particular kill caused the population to get bigger, not smaller.

The above content is notable, relevant, and reliably sourced. There is no legitimate reason to not include it in the article.

Does Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez agree or disagree with the Democratic Socialists of America’s New York City chapter’s call to “abolish profit”?

This is a link to a recent tweet from the New York City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America.

And this is a link to an archive of the same tweet, in case the original ever gets deleted.

The tweet states:

“Abolish profit”

I’d also like to point out this link to the constitution and bylaws of the Democratic Socialists of America, where they write:

“we reject an economic order based on private profit”

So both the national organization and the New York City chapter both support getting rid of profit.

If anyone wants to see the real world results of what happens when a country tries to stop businesses and corporations from making a profit, I suggest read this lengthy, well sourced blog post that I wrote four months ago, which is called, “The Maduro diet: How most Venezuelans lost an average of 19 pounds in 2016, plus another 24 pounds in 2017.”

One would think that the lessons of the 20th century would have taught people that getting rid of profit also means getting rid of incentive. But one would be wrong. In Venezuela, during the 21st century, presidents Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro did everything they could to stop businesses and corporations from making a profit from growing and selling food, and the results have been disastrous.

In New York City, a self described “socialist” named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just beat long term incumbent Joseph Crowley in the Democratic primary election for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Unless something really weird and unexpected happens, there is a near 100% chance that Ocasio-Cortez will be elected to the U.S. Congress in November.

Since Ocasio-Cortez is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, I would like to know if she agrees or disagrees with their proposal to “abolish profit.”

I would also like to know if Ocasio-Cortez supports or opposes the policies of Venezuelan presidents Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro, which I describe in great detail in this blog entry.

Chavez referred to his policies as “21st century socialism,” and he was constantly saying that it was wrong for businesses and corporations to make a profit. He set price controls on food, seized more than 10 million acres of farmland, and had the government take control of many food processing plants and supermarkets. Before Chavez died in 2013, he had appointed Maduro as his successor. Since Chavez’s’ death, Maduro has continued Chavez’s policies. Because the profit motive to grow and sell food has been eliminated in Venezuela, there has been a very severe, long term, chronic shortage of food. Most Venezuelans lost an average of 19 pounds in 2016, plus another 24 pounds in 2017.

I would like Ocasio-Cortez to please read my blog post, please check out all the links to the sources that I cite to prove that everything I wrote is true, and then please state whether she supports or opposes the policies of Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro that are in my blog post.
