Video: St. Louis couple pulls guns on trespassing protesters

These protestors are on private property on a private street. They went through a gate that was clearly labelled as “private street.” They then threatened to steal the guns from the homeowners. No shots were fired.

New Jersey politicians charged in massive mail-in ballot voter fraud scheme, face years in prison

Democrats have been pushing vote-by-mail

By Chris Enloe

June 27, 2020

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal has filed voter fraud charges against four men, including two Paterson City officials, who allegedly engaged in a mail-in ballot scheme during a special election last month.

Grewal charged Paterson City Councilman Michael Jackson, Councilman-elect Alex Mendez, and two other men after the U.S. Postal Inspection Service alerted the state attorney general’s office that it had found hundreds of ballots in a single Paterson City mailbox, InsiderNJ reported.

According to WNBC-TV, more than 3,000 ballots were set aside over voting fraud concerns in the Paterson City Council election — 16,747 were received, but only 13,557 were accepted — meaning a whopping 19%, or nearly 1-in-5, were rejected.

More than 800 of the rejected ballots were invalidated because they were found tethered together in mailboxes.

The alleged voter fraud is particularly significant in the election because one incumbent councilman kept his seat by just eight votes, while Mendez was elected by fewer than 250 votes, WNBC reported.

Jackson was charged with four crimes, including fraud in casting mail-in vote and falsifying records. From the attorney general’s office:

It is alleged that Jackson violated state election laws as a candidate by approaching one or more voters in Paterson in the district where he was running and collecting their official mail-in ballots for delivery to the Passaic County Board of Elections. It is further alleged that these mail-in ballots were delivered to the Board of Elections without information identifying the bearer, in violation of state election laws. In addition, Jackson allegedly procured and had in his possession more than three official mail-in ballots which were neither his own ballots, nor ballots for which he was identified as an authorized bearer. Lastly, Jackson allegedly received the official mail-in ballot of one voter without the ballot having been voted or sealed, and that ballot was subsequently delivered to the Board of Elections in a sealed envelope without information identifying the bearer.

Mendez was hit with six criminal charges, including election fraud and falsifying records. From the Attorney General’s Office:

It is alleged that Mendez violated state election laws as a candidate by approaching one or more voters in Paterson in the district where he was running and collecting their official mail-in ballots for delivery to the Passaic County Board of Elections. It is further alleged that these mail-in ballots were delivered to the Board of Elections without information identifying the bearer in violation of state election laws. In addition, Mendez allegedly procured or submitted one or more voter registration applications, which he knew to be false, fictitious, or fraudulent, in that he knew the person for whom the application was procured was not eligible to vote in the election district identified on the application.

“Today’s charges send a clear message: if you try to tamper with an election in New Jersey, we will find you and we will hold you accountable,” Grewal said. “We will not allow a small number of criminals to undermine the public’s confidence in our democratic process.”

According to the Paterson Times, Jackson faces more than 10 years in prison while Mendez faces more than 31 years in prison.

The charges were filed as Democrats nationwide push for mail-in voting as a method to reduce coronavirus spread. Republicans generally oppose mail-in voting, arguing it opens the door to voter fraud.

This graphic, five minute video from Buffalo, New York, shows a white police officer brutally assaulting a peaceful black man named Quentin Suttles, even as the police already have him held down on the ground

Wow! This is really horrible.

Throughout this entire video, a black man named Quentin Suttles is completely peaceful and non-violent. Despite this, a white police officer repeatedly beats him on the head, even as the police already have him held down on the ground. You can see blood coming out of his head.

June 24, 2020

Black Lives Matter greater New York Chair Hawk Newsome issued what many have interpreted as a terroristic threat during his appearance on Fox News Wednesday evening.

Mr. Newsome told Fox News host Martha MacCallum that if Black Lives Matter doesn’t get what they want, they will burn the system down.

“If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it.. I could be speaking figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It’s a matter of interpretation.” said Newsome.

Hardin-Simmons University expelled a student because she truthfully said that left wing protestors don’t seem to care about black-on-black violence as much as white-on-black violence. NBC News falsely said her statement was “racist.”

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

June 28, 2020

NBC News just published this article, which is called

Hardin-Simmons University in Texas says student who made racist TikTok ‘no longer enrolled’

Although I haven’t been able to find a copy of the student’s video, I did read the entire NBC article.

This is how NBC News describes the student’s video:

In the original video, the young woman first writes the caption, “People when a BLACK person kills a BLACK person” which shows her standing with a calm demeanor.

The next caption in the video reads, “People when a BLACK person kills a WHITE person,” and shows the woman remaining calm.

At the end of the video the caption transitions to, “People when a WHITE person kills a BLACK person,” and shows the woman engulfed in flames and mouthing angrily.

The student is telling the truth.

In the U.S., 93% of black murder victims are killed by other blacks.

But I can’t think of a single nationwide Black Lives Matter protest about any of these black-on-black murders.

So the student’s video is accurate.

The fact that NBC called the video “racist” is a totally and completely false description of the video.

The NBC article also states:

“Upon learning about a TikTok post made this week by an HSU student, we immediately took action to address the situation and began the required disciplinary process,” the university said in a statement. “We can confirm that the student associated with this incident is no longer enrolled at Hardin-Simmons University,” the statement added.

So Hardin-Simmons University expelled the student because she said something that is true.

This action by the university is despicable, irrational, illogical, and intellectually dangerous, and it goes completely against the very principles of truth and learning that getting a college education is supposed to be about.

Shame on Hardin-Simmons University.

And it was just yesterday that I made this other blog post about a similar incident at a different college: Kansas State University is launching an investigation, and offering students counseling, all because one of its students truthfully said, “Congratulations to George Floyd on being drug free for an entire month!”

Clearly, this kind of nonsense by college administrators has been getting more and more common. It’s completely wrong, and I fear for what the future will hold in this regard.

One thing that a lot of these incidents have in common is that they aren’t getting mad at students for lying. Instead, they are getting mad at students for telling the truth. When telling the truth is what gets people into trouble, we have reached a totalitarian environment. And that’s exactly what is happening on many American college campuses.

Hypocrisy at its worst: June 26, 2020: “Minneapolis City Council unanimously votes on plan to dismantle police department.” June 26, 2020: “Minneapolis Council members get private security” funded by the city’s taxpayers.

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

June 27, 2020

On June 26, 2020, Fox News reported:

“Minneapolis City Council unanimously votes on plan to dismantle police department”

On the same day, the Minneapolis affiliate of Fox News reported:

“Minneapolis Council members get private security…”

“The City of Minneapolis is spending $4,500 a day for private security for three council members…”

“… the private security details have cost the city $63,000 over the past three weeks…”

“… The hourly cost of private security is similar to the cost for a police officer…”

So these Minneapolis politicians voted to get rid of the police for the general population, but used the city’s taxpayers’ money to hire their own private security. This is extremely hypocritical. Shame on them.

Kansas State University is launching an investigation, and offering students counseling, all because one of its students truthfully said, “Congratulations to George Floyd on being drug free for an entire month!”

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

June 27, 2020

Jaden McNeil is a student at Kansas State University.

McNeil recently made the following tweet:

https://twitter.com/McNeilJaden/status/1276255988732039168

https://twitter.com/McNeilJaden/status/1276255988732039168

The text of McNeil’s tweet states:

“Congratulations to George Floyd on being drug free for an entire month!”

Thomas Lane is vice president for student life and dean of students at the university.

Lane responded to McNeil’s tweet with the following four statements, each of which appeared in its own tweet:

https://twitter.com/ThomasALane/status/1276503680825602049

https://twitter.com/ThomasALane/status/1276503688396374017

https://twitter.com/ThomasALane/status/1276503689516191744

https://twitter.com/ThomasALane/status/1276503690594201600

Here is the text from each of Lane’s four tweets:

“I’m aware of the Twitter posting by a K-State student. The lack of basic decency and care for how this post would impact others, especially our Black students, faculty, & staff already emotionally hurting from recent incidents of anti-Black violence is shameful and appalling.”

“It is in blatant opposition to the values we hold close and aspire to as a university, such as diversity, inclusion, civility and respect.”

“K-State condemns the post in the strongest of terms. It does not reflect who we are as confirmed by the outrage expressed by so many campus community members. Bigotry, prejudice & racism have no place here.”

“For those impacted by this incident, please know there are supportive resources available including The Office of Student Life, Counseling Services, @KStateDiversity”

All of Lane’s comments are complete nonsense.

The fact that the school is offering counseling to students who were “impacted” by McNeil’s tweet is absurd.

The claim that McNeil’s tweet is “bigoted, prejudiced, and racist” is false.

The only thing that matters to me is whether or not McNeil’s statement is true.

So let’s look at these three facts:

Fact #1: George Floyd’s autopsy showed that he had fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cannabinoids in his system when he died.

Fact #2: The date of Floyd’s death was May 25, 2020.

Fact #3: The date of McNeil’s tweet is June 25, 2020.

Based on these three facts, McNeil’s statement is true.

So Kansas State University is launching an investigation, and offering students counseling, all because one of its students made a statement which is true.

That is irrational, illogical, ridiculous, and absurd.

YouTuber JennaMarbles apologizes for being funny. I can’t tell if her apology is real, or if she’s just making fun of all the idiots who apologize for everything that they have ever done.

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

June 27, 2020

It’s probably been a few years since I last watched anything by JennaMarbles on YouTube. I’ve seen a few dozen of her videos over the years, but I was just a casual viewer, not a big fan.

In this new video, she apologizes for her past videos, which I had always thought were funny, but which she now claims are actually offensive.

Is this apology a satire?

Is she making fun of all the idiots who apologize for everything that they have ever done?

Or is she actually being serious?

If she really is being serious, then that’s really sad. No one should be ashamed for being funny.

If this apology is satire, then it’s one of the greatest tricks that any YouTuber has ever pulled. So good for her!

One of the very biggest reasons yet for why the lockdown is a scam: A federal judge struck down Cuomo’s and de Blasio’s lockdown orders for churches because the lockdown did not apply to Black Lives Matter protests

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

June 26, 2020

My list of reasons why the lockdown is a scam can be read at Here are 150 reasons why I’m against the COVID-19 lockdowns

Here’s a new one that I’ll be adding the next time I update my list.

A federal judge has ruled against the lockdown on churches and synagogues by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, because the lockdown did not apply to Black Lives Matter protestors.

This is absolute proof, from a federal judge, that the lockdown is a scam.

Here are some examples of Cuomo’s and de Blasio’s hypocrisy:

De Blasio broke up a rabbi’s funeral, citing the virus as the reason, but allowed a funeral for George Floyd.

De Blasio threatened to shut down synagogues and churches, but not mosques.

De Blasio said he still supported quarantine measures that limited attendance at houses of worship to 10, even as he supported much larger gatherings for Black Lives Matter protests.

Cuomo criticized anti-lockdown protestors, but defended Black Lives Matter protestors who violated the lockdown.

And one of the most absurd examples of the lockdown’s double standards: A Jewish children’s gathering turned into a George Floyd protest so De Blasio wouldn’t shut it down.

Here’s a photograph of it. Note the sign on the left that says, “Justice for George Floyd.”

https://twitter.com/JakeTurx/status/1268970681351405575

Make up your minds, Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio. Either the virus is too dangerous for people to be gathering in large groups, or it’s not. You can’t have it be safe for people that you agree with, but dangerous for people that you disagree with. Viruses don’t work that way. The virus doesn’t know or care why people are gathering together in large groups.

Here’s the article:

Citing protests, federal judge strikes down Cuomo and de Blasio lockdown orders for churches

By Nicholas Rowan

June 26, 2020

A federal judge on Friday struck down orders issued by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio that limit the size of church services.

The ruling, a preliminary injunction delivered by District Judge Gary Sharpe, notes that by endorsing protests for racial justice while simultaneously discouraging large gatherings in churches, both Cuomo and de Blasio undermined their claim that their lockdown orders were “generally applicable.”

“The State argues, in overly-simplistic fashion, that the challenged laws only incidentally impose a burden on religious exercise, and they are neutral and generally applicable, and therefore, only rational basis need be shown, which is self-evident: preventing the spread of COVID-19,” Sharpe wrote. “The State was silent with respect to the mass race protests.”

Sharpe added that de Blasio’s comments with regard to churches, as well as his attitude toward New York Jewish communities, made it difficult for the mayor to make a “legitimate” claim that he is not biased against people of faith while favoring protests.

“Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio could have just as easily discouraged protests, short of condemning their message, in the name of public health and exercised discretion to suspend enforcement for public safety reasons instead of encouraging what they knew was a flagrant disregard of the outdoor limits and social distancing rules,” Sharpe wrote. “They could have also been silent. But by acting as they did, Governor Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio sent a clear message that mass protests are deserving of preferential treatment.”

De Blasio, in early June, said that allowing protests and allowing religious services were “not the same question.”

The ruling came after Catholic churches and Orthodox synagogues in upstate New York filed a suit earlier this month alleging that Cuomo’s executive orders violated their First Amendment rights.

Following Sharpe’s order, New York officials are no longer allowed to impose limits on indoor, in-person religious gatherings.

Requiring photo ID is “racist,” except when it’s done by Obama, the NAACP, unions, or any other liberals

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

June 24, 2020

In March 2012, Obama’s Justice Department blocked Texas’s voter ID requirement, claiming that it was “racist.”

However, Obama’s Justice Department required photo ID for everyone who enters.

So let’s say that in 2012, someone was denied their right to vote because they didn’thave voter ID, and they wanted to file a lawsuit at the Justice Department. But because they didn’t have photo ID, they couldn’t have gotten get into the Justice Department in the first place!

This video is from 2012. Beginning at 2:39, we see that Obama’s Justice Department required photo ID for everyone who entered:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZf25pmgR4c

The same video also shows that you need photo ID in order to enter other liberal organizations which claim that requiring voter ID is “racist,” including the Advancement Project (at 1:38), the Center for American Progress (2:08), and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (2:23).

At a July 2012 NAACP event, NAACP President Ben Jealous claimed that requiring voter ID was “racist.” However, at that very same event, the NAACP required photo ID in order to get into the event in the first place!

Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Britain, India, and South Africa all require photo ID in order to vote, but U.S. liberals don’t consider those countries’ requirements to be “racist.”

In January 2012, Illinois passed a law that required buyers of drain cleaner to show photo ID, but liberals didn’t accuse this requirement of being “racist.”

In June 2012, Michelle Obama required photo ID in order to attend her book signings, but liberals didn’t accuse her of being “racist.”

In June 2012, Barack Obama required photo ID in order to attend his campaign events, but liberals didn’t accuse him of being “racist.”

In December 2017, for every performance of the play “Hamilton” at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, 40 tickets were sold for a special low price of $10 each. To get these tickets, you had to apply online. A lottery randomly chose 40 winners for each performance. Winners were required to show photo ID when they showed up to see the play. But liberals didn’t accuse this theater of being “racist.”

This article from Politico includes the following photograph of a labor union that requires photo ID in order for its members to vote, but liberals didn’t accuse this union of being “racist”:

BET founder Robert Johnson mocks crowds pulling down statues, canceling TV shows, apologizing for being white

BET Founder Robert Johnson Mocks Crowds Pulling Down Statues, Canceling TV Shows, Apologizing For Being White

June 24, 2020

On Wednesday, BET Founder Robert Johnson mocked those who are destroying statues across the U.S. and who are trying to cancel television shows because they think that’s what black people want.

During an interview with Fox News, Johnson said that those who are destroying statues across the country “have the mistaken assumption that black people are sitting around cheering for them saying ‘Oh, my God, look at these white people. They’re doing something so important to us. They’re taking down the statue of a Civil War general who fought for the South.’”

“You know, black people, in my opinion, black people laugh at white people who do this the same way we laugh at white people who say we got to take off the TV shows [like] The Dukes of Hazard,” Johnson continued. “I bet if you go back and look at the Nielsen ratings when The Dukes of Hazard was on television, I’ll bet you it had a huge black viewing population. The one thing you can do is research it, find out, because blacks watched more television than whites did, always has been historically.”

Johnson also took a shot at white Americans who think that by doing “emotionally or drastic things” that black people will look at them and think that white people love them. Johnson said that “black people don’t give a damn” if statues of people like Stonewall Jackson, who was a Confederate general, are taken down.

Johnson also mocked HBO Max for taking down “Gone with the Wind,” then putting it back with a disclaimer, saying, “What the hell do you need a disclaimer with ‘Gone with the Wind,’ as if black people think that we believe that slavery was like ‘Gone with the Wind’? Who are you trying to convince?”

“Look, the people who are basically tearing down statues, trying to make a statement, are basically borderline anarchists, the way I look at it. They really have no agenda other than the idea we’re going to topple a statue,” Johnson said. “It’s not going to give a kid whose parents can’t afford college money to go to college. It’s not going to close the labor gap between what white workers are paid and what black workers are paid. And it’s not going to take people off welfare or food stamps.”

Johnson also mocked “white privilege,” and those who get on social media and apologize for being white.

“You know, that to me is the silliest expression of white privilege that exists in this country. The notion that a celebrity could get on a Twitter feed and say, ‘Oh my God, I am so sorry that I am white.’ I don’t find any black people getting on Twitter and saying, ‘Oh, I’m so sorry I’m black.’ And we got the worst problems. … My thing is: embrace being white and do the right thing.”

Due to Seattle’s unrest, billion-dollar investment firm moving to Phoenix

By Peter Samore

June 22, 2020

PHOENIX — Coronavirus pandemic or not, an investment advisory company is leaving the cultural unrest in Seattle and moving its headquarters to Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor.

” … The unrest that has taken place in the city of Seattle … there is really is not a downtown business community today,” Smead Capital Management, President and CEO Cole Smead told KTAR News 92.3 FM.

Smead said that although taxes in Seattle are lower, candidate recruitment is harder and the cost of living within the city is more expensive than Phoenix.

“We’re hearing rumors of 40-story buildings that will be only 20-percent occupied by October,” Smead said.

“My biggest concern for Seattle was what the business community is going to come back to, and what kind of businesses are going to come back for customers.”

He found that metro Phoenix offers a better quality of life.

“My colleagues can pick the socio-economic rung of life that they want … live their lives, build
their households and have a family if they’d like,” Smead said.

“Where we’re coming from just wasn’t like that.”

Smead added his employees will take precautions to protect themselves from COVID-19 during their move.

As of May 31, the firm managed approximately $1.58 billion.

After a vote to cancel the cops, Minneapolis sees its first mass shooting

After a Vote to Cancel the Cops, Minneapolis Sees Its First Mass Shooting

By Alex Parker

June 21, 2020

Maybe sometimes having police is better.

In Minneapolis — where law enforcement as we know it may be on its way out — a mass shooting occurred Saturday night.

As reported by CNN, the melee — which took place on Hennepin Avenue South — saw 12 people shot.

One has died, while the others have non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The motive remains unclear, and no arrests have yet been made.

Arrests may be part of the Old World, anyway — as I covered previously, on June 12th, the Minneapolis City Council made the announcement that cops were canceled.

The five members who penned the resolution explained thusly:

“The murder of George Floyd on May 25, 2020, by Minneapolis police officers is a tragedy that shows that no amount of reforms will prevent lethal violence and abuse by some members of the Police Department against members of our community, especially Black people and people of color.”

The police will be replaced by a “community-led public safety system.”

Whoever they are, they might wanna be armed — what took place Saturday night sounded like warfare.

Witness Erik Thompson at first thought he was hearing fireworks, but the explosions didn’t stop.

He recalled, “We started hearing whizzing by our ears, and it was the bullets coming towards us.”

Restaurant manager Fred Hwang said there were at least two groups shooting at one another.

More from CNN:

Police said the gunfire continued down a block early Sunday morning.

After the gunfire stopped and victims were taken to the hospital, Hwang said he surveyed the scene and found ammunition shell casings that appear to be from three different types of weapons.

Hennepin Avenue South was also recently the site of looting and mayhem in the aftermath of George Floyd’s terrible death at the hands of four Minneapolis law enforcement officers.

And given the City Council’s decision, the area may not be safer any time soon. As noted by RedState’s Bonchie just a little over a week ago, a replacement plan for the Men and Women in Blue isn’t securely in place:

Lisa Bender, the president of the Minneapolis City Council, really wants to destroy her local police department. What she doesn’t know is essentially anything that comes after that.

Hopefully, they’ll get that figured out.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for a great place in Minneapolis to hang out, Hennepin Ave. shouldn’t top your list.

And nationally, we could be asking for more bullets flying in more directions. The Hennepin incident brings to mind voices across the country crying, “Defund the Police.” People don’t seem exactly clear on what that means, but if you weaken law and order, something tells me you strengthen crime.

Perhaps not everyone agrees with me, but I’d be willing to bet some criminals do.

Destroyed Cleveland cupcake store owner gets threats to shut up or her business will be looted again

Destroyed Cleveland cupcake store owner gets threats to shut up or her business will be looted again

By Jon Dougherty

June 22, 2020

The owner of a small cupcake business in Cleveland that was destroyed and looted last month as riots broke out following the death of George Floyd says she’s being threatened with future harm and destruction for cooperating with police.

In an interview with “Fox & Friends” Monday, Kelly Kandah, owner of Colossal Cupcakes, a family business, said the threats include people telling her that if she rebuilds, “it’s going to get hit again.”

Kandah also said that she’s been getting complaints that cooperating with police investigators is “unfair,” that she should not be working with the FBI — ostensibly to identify who looted her store — and that what she’s doing is “against the cause, which I’m actually absolutely for the cause, but it’s upsetting people that I would involve the police of something such as property.”

The cupcake seller told the Fox News morning show hosts that she and four of her employees were forced to hide in fear in a bathroom on May 30 as rioters looted her store. She added that thanks to police intervention they saved her life that day.

She told the morning show earlier this month that she has owned the shop for nearly a decade.

“My family built it up, [I] listened to it get absolutely destroyed,” Kandah told “Fox & Friends First” on June 2. “That whole time we were locked in there … I just listened to everything getting shattered and crushed.”

On Monday, she recounted that she and her employees “had to lock ourselves in the bathroom while my store was completely destroyed and ransacked,” adding that the rioters were on the other side of the door.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt said, “And you didn’t know if they were trying to trick you and saying, ‘We’re police,’ that you would come out, right?”

Kandah agreed and explained that rioters were “pounding on the door” shortly after breaking into her store, “so I was actually skeptical that it was Cleveland police or not, but it was.”

Kandah went on to tell the co-host that a week after her business was demolished, “I was showing some of the damage and I was leaving, a friend and myself, and someone walking by approached us and said, ‘When the store rebuilds, when you rebuild this, I’m going to come back and destroy it again and you.’ He kept walking and was gone.”

When Earhardt asked Kandah if she was scared now to reopen, she replied, “Yes.”

The co-host then asked, “What do you say to the critics that say because you called the police because you are thanking them now for saving your life that you are racist and you don’t support black lives?”

“It’s just really sad,” Kandah said in response. “Unfortunately my store is not open right now and I’m so involved with the community and I’m so involved with our inner-city schools and I’m so for the cause that I do a lot of community service. Right now, I can’t. I don’t have anything being brought in to be able to donate as much as I usually do.”

Earhardt added that Kandah has donated KitchenAid mixers to young people in the past who are interested in getting into the culinary field.

Black Fathers Matter

By Katie Kieffer

June 22, 2020

Fathers matter. A child without a good father figure grows up with a disadvantage that cannot be erased by money, education or fame. Activists claim that whites and police are primarily responsible for holding blacks back. In truth, black father figures are the foremost differentiating factor in their offspring’s quality of life.

69 percent of black children are born to unmarried mothers, according to the latest data from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In contrast, the CDC reports that 28 percent of non-Hispanic whites are born to unmarried mothers.

A sheriff’s deputy saved a baby from choking during a Black Lives Matter protest

A video surveillance camera recorded a Los Angeles sheriff’s deputy save an unresponsive baby from choking during a Black Lives Matter protest in May.

The 11-month-old boy’s mother and another woman were attending the protest on May 31 in Palmdale, California, when the baby became ill, lost consciousness and stopped breathing, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department

The women ran across a supermarket parking lot to a group of sheriff’s deputies who were monitoring the protest from across the street.

In the video, Deputy Cameron Kinsey runs toward the women when he realized they were in distress. The mother handed the limp child to Kinsey and after assessing the baby, the sheriff’s department said he “administered a mouth sweep with his finger and dislodged vomit.”

“None of that other stuff matters,” Kinsey said about everything taking place at the time. “Just the baby.”

Paramedics arrived and took the child to a nearby hospital where it was determined the boy had swallowed a coin, which had lodged in his throat and blocked his airway. Kinsey’s finger sweep turned the coin sideways so the child was able to breathe again, the department said.

Law abiding black man uses legal gun to defend himself from five white racists who tried to kill him

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

I’m 100% in favor of self defense.

I’m 100% against murder.

I’m glad that this law abiding black man used his legal gun to defend himself from five white racists who were trying to murder him:

Black pastor arrested after calling 911 on people who allegedly attacked him; sheriff apologizes

By Associated Press

WOODSTOCK, Va. (AP) — A sheriff in Virginia has apologized to a black pastor in Virginia who was arrested after calling 911 on a group of white people who threatened to kill him after trying to dump a refrigerator on his property.

Shenandoah County Sheriff Timothy Carter made the apology to Leon K. McCray Sr. of Woodstock Friday, announcing hate crime and assault charges against the five people involved and saying a weapons charge against the pastor would be dropped.

McCray described the events leading to his arrest in a sermon to parishioners at Lighthouse Church & Marketplace Ministries International.

He said he was visiting an apartment he owns in Edinburg on June 1 when he noticed a man and a woman dragging a refrigerator from another property into his dumpster, and they became irate when he asked them to leave.

McCray said they threatened him and returned with three more people, attacking him physically, saying “they don’t give a darn” about “my black life and the Black Lives Matter stuff,” and telling him they would “kill” him.

McCray said they backed up when he drew his legal concealed weapon to “save” his life, giving him enough time to call 911. Arriving deputies then took his gun while talking with the five, who continued threatening and yelling racist epithets at him.

They wouldn’t let him tell his side, he said; instead, he was “handcuffed in front of the mob,” for brandishing the handgun, and was driven away in handcuffs while the group stood with other deputies, waving at him as he went down the road.

McCray said the deputies rushed to judgment, “disarming a black male brandishing a gun against five white individuals” despite his “second Amendment right to defend myself against five attackers that tried to take my life.” The arrest “would not be tolerated if I was white,” he added.

“This was indeed the most humiliating, dehumanizing, damning and violating event of my life,” McCray said. “I’m a pastor, a decorated 24-year Air Force master sergeant veteran, no criminal record.”

Donny Richard Salyers, Dennis James Salyers, Farrah Lee Salyers, Christopher Kevin Sharp and Amanda Dawn Salyers are now being held without bond.

Sheriff Carter sat down with McCray two days after the incident. He said four of the five were already charged with assault or trespassing, but after hearing from the pastor, he initiated a review that led to additional charges against all five, and urged a prosecutor to drop the weapons charge against McCray.

“As I told Mr. McCray, if I were faced with similar circumstances, I would have probably done the same thing,” Carter said.

Also, two sheriff’s office supervisors have been placed on unpaid administrative leave while the investigation continues, Carter said.

Attorney Bradley G. Pollock, representing Sharp, told The Washington Post that his client and Amanda Salyers assumed they had permission to dump the refrigerator in McCray’s dumpster, and returned it to their own property after McCray confronted them.

The Post didn’t report any response by Pollock to the hate crime allegations, and lawyers for the other Salyers either declined to comment or didn’t respond.

“I want the people of Shenandoah County to know that I and the sheriff’s office staff appreciate and care about the minority communities, and especially our black community,” the sheriff said.

Washington Mayor Who Celebrated Black Lives Matter Calls Protestors ‘Terrorists’ After Home Is Vandalized

By Ariela Anís

June 16, 2020

Mayor Cheryl Selby of Olympia, Washington, who has been very vocal about and supportive of Black Lives Matter and protestors, is now calling them “terrorists” after her home was vandalized.

Last Friday, two groups of protestors met in downtown Olympia and things turned destructive after some demonstrators began burning flags, smashing windows and spray painting businesses and Mayor Selby’s home. As the group approached the Mayor’s home, they chanted “abolish the police,” and one black-clad-dressed member ran up on her front porch and began spray painting the door, and wall panels with “BLM.”

While Selby and her family were not home, her neighbors tried to shoo protestors away and texted her of the incident. Addressing the vandalism, she stated, “I’m really trying to process this. It’s like domestic terrorism. It’s unfair. It hurts when you’re giving so much to your community. People have so little grace for each other right now. We need to have more grace.“

Furthermore, this is not the first incident of this kind for Mayor Selby. two years prior, protestors convened in her neighborhood, sharing leaflets and directing chants at her during a May Day protest.
