One awesome musician – one acoustic guitar – one continuous take with no edits – all dedicated to a brilliant performance of one of my favorite songs of all time.
Igor Presnyako is a very talented musician:
The people interviewed here in 2008 said that they agreed with McCain’s positions on the issues, but that they would be voting for Obama anyway. If that’s not because of racism, then I’d love to hear some other explanation:
This season one episode of “The Jeffersons” is called “Like Father Like Son.” As is always the case with early seasons of this excellent show, the entire episode is worth watching. But the part I most want to draw your attention to runs from 13:08 to 16:28
Yesterday I got a computerized phone call from Giant Eagle, telling me not to eat the mangoes that I’ve been buying since July, because they might be contaminated with Salmonella. The message said I could return them to the store for a full refund.
Neil Young – singer, songwriter, and guitarist – solo artist – member of Buffalo Springfield – member of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young – is very much alive.
However, NBC news has reported that he has died!
Not only that, but they also reported that he was the first astronaut to walk on the moon!
Note: At the end of this posting I have added updates, which are in bold, including Roger Ebert’s responses to me from his blog.
My blog has just gotten its 57,000th hit – that’s 1,000 for every U.S. state!
I would like to thank all my readers, who made this happy event possible.
The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon (hilarious trailer for a movie that doesn’t actually exist)
The Horribly Slow Murderer with the Extremely Inefficient Weapon is a trailer for a movie that doesn’t actually exist. It’s the trailer itself that is the complete work. It’s ten minutes long, brilliantly hilarious, and violent enough that the fake opening says it’s for Restricted audiences, i.e., if it were an actual movie, it would be rated-R. So it’s definitely not for young children, the squeamish, or anyone else who might be offended by such content. Personally, I loved it.
Barack Obama hates public education, which is why he has never allowed his own children to attend any public school ever, anywhere

This guy’s tone of voice and calm demeanor make him sound like he could be a trusted teacher, friend, or relative. I think if I knew him in real life, we could be friends, and enjoy each other’s company. He certainly seems well intentioned.
Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein recently made this tweet, where she links to one of my blog posts:
Casino sues winning gamblers and card manufacturer because casino employees did not shuffle the cards
This casino is suing the card manufacturer, and the players who won lots of money, because the casino’s employees didn’t shuffle the cards, which allowed the players to win 41 times in a row.
This has got to be about the most ridiculous lawsuit that I have ever heard about. Yes, I realize there are quite a few contenders in that contest, but this one is even dumber than the other dumb ones… I think.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra recently turned down the choruses from two high schools in Cobb County, Georgia – those of Walton and Lassiter High Schools.

Before I get to the political stuff, I’d like to point out that as far as I’m aware, you have never reviewed “Drop Dead Fred” or “Princess Caraboo,” films which I consider to contain Phoebe Cates’s two best performances. Please review them.
In the 2008 United States election, I wrote in Ron Paul for President. In the 2012 election, I will be voting for Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson. Those who are of a more leftist persuasion than myself might want to consider voting for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
Roger, please read this list of things that Obama has done, and then explain how you can still support him:
Chicago government spends $90,000 per year on each of 200 employees to spend most of their “work” time sitting around doing nothing
The Chicago Sun-Times reports:
A long time ago, when there were no laws against killing bald eagles, someone made a sculpture that included a stuffed bald eagle.
Well what do you know – it’s actually a bad idea to take sleeping pills before driving.
I never would have guessed.
By comparison, the Catholic schools in Pittsburgh charge approximately $7,500 tuition per student per year. The low-income minority children who get scholarships to Catholic schools in Pittsburgh through the privately funded Extra Mile Education Foundation have much better attendance rates, graduation rates, and academic performance, than the students at the Pittsburgh public schools.
