My review of 2000 Mules

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

June 30, 2022

In 1993, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in math, and a minor in computer science. Sometime during my four years at the school, I attended a speech by Dinesh D’Souza. The thing that I remember most about his speech was that he said he immigrated to the United States because he “wanted to live in a country where the poor people are fat.”

On the one hand, I did not vote for Trump. I voted for Libertarian Gary Johnson in 2016, and Libertarian Jo Jorgensen in 2020. So I’m not a Trump fan.

On the other hand, I don’t hate Trump the way so many Democrats do. I certainly don’t agree with their claim that he’s a Nazi. In fact, Trump supports the right of gun ownership by all law abiding adult citizens, whereas Hitler banned Jews from owning guns in 1938. So at least in that one regard, Trump is the exact opposite of a Nazi.

It seems to me that a lot of people are rating 2000 Mules based on whether or not they agree with its basic premise, which is that the 2020 U.S. Presidential election was stolen.

But that’s not how I’m rating this movie.

Instead, I’m rating this movie based on how good or bad it is, regardless of my own personal thoughts on its premise.

Now, in order to be transparent, I want to state that I do indeed believe the election was stolen. I first started thinking this on election night, when the mainstream media reported that election workers in Fulton County, Georgia, had “stopped counting votes for the night” due to a “burst water pipe.”

As soon as I first heard them say that, I knew they were cheating.

And here’s my proof that they were lying.

On the night of the election, CBS News aired a TV report called “Pipe burst in Georgia delays vote counting.”

You can watch it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C25DAAHZdEw

Also on the night of the election, ABC News tweeted: “The election department sent the ballot counters at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta home at 10:30 p.m., Regina Waller, the Fulton County public affairs manager for elections, tells ABC News.”

Here’s that tweet:

https://twitter.com/abcpolitics/status/1323846118208376834

However, official security video footage shows that after the Republican poll watchers and news reporters left the room where votes had been counted, a few election workers stay behind and continue counting votes.

And there is no visible water leak in the video.

You can see that video footage here:

https://www.bitchute.com/video/rPqQKvuFk473/

There’s only one reason for the election workers to lie about a bogus “burst water pipe,” and use that as an excuse to get the Republican poll watchers and news reporters to leave, and then the election workers themselves go back inside and continue counting the votes while no one else is in the room. They were cheating.

If you want to see me presenting a lot more evidence that the election was stolen, you can read my writing about it here:

https://danfromsquirrelhill.wordpress.com/2022/06/23/stop-the-steal-6/

So, I very much believe that the election was stolen.

But guess what?

I didn’t like 2000 Mules.

My biggest criticism of the movie, is that despite its repeated claims that these 2,000 “ballot traffickers” each put mail-in ballots into many different dropboxes, the movie never actually shows video footage of even one of these people depositing ballots into more than one dropbox.

Do you realize how ridiculous it is that they never show this?

If each of these people really did deposit ballots into many different dropboxes, then the movie should show us video footage of some of these people depositing ballots into multiple dropboxes.

But the movie never shows even one person doing that.

I’d like to see video footage of at least 20 different “ballot traffickers,” each depositing ballots into at least 10 different dropboxes.

And I’d like to see their faces.

Even when the movie did show some of these people dropping ballots into a single dropbox per person, they always blurred out their face. Apparently, they were worried about getting sued for defamation. But when someone is sued for defamation, the only thing they need to do in order to prove their innocence, is to show that what they said is true. So if they are so sure that this cheating happened, then why did they blur out their faces?

And since they have video footage of their faces as well as their license plates, and they also have their cell phone location data, they should know the names of these “ballot traffickers.” But they never, ever revealed any of their names in the movie. Again, if they are so sure that this cheating actually happened, they should not be afraid to show the names of the people who cheated.

So, thumbs down for me.

On the other hand, there are some smaller things that I did like about the movie.

The fact that these people are shown wearing gloves, which they remove immediately after depositing the ballots, suggests that they did indeed cheat. So that’s a point in praise of the film.

And some of these people are shown taking pictures of them holding their ballots right before depositing them in the dropboxes, so they can get paid. That’s another point in favor of the film.

And the single biggest evidence of cheating that’s shown in this movie is the nursing home patients who are obviously too sick to either vote or request an absentee ballot, and yet their relatives claim that the official government records show that they had indeed voted.

So there are some things in this movie that do show evidence of cheating.

But those things all receive only a small amount of the movie’s overall time.

The movie’s main premise is that each of these 2,000 “ballot traffickers” deposited ballots into multiple dropboxes. But despite this claim, not once in the entire movie, do we ever see video footage of any of these people dropping off ballots into more than one dropbox.

In other words, the people who made this movie are refusing to show us any video evidence whatsoever that backs up their primary claim.

And that’s why I can’t recommend this movie.

Oh yeah – another criticism that I have is that they never give equal time to their opponents. They never interviewed any experts who believe that there was no cheating. Because of their refusal to present the opposing point of view to any substantial degree, I have to say that this movie seems more like an infomercial than a documentary. I’ve seen a lot of documentaries. And I’ve seen a lot of infomercials. And I know how to tell the difference between the two. When a bunch of people all in the same room all have the exact same opinion, that’s not a documentary – it’s an infomercial.

So, while I believe that the election was indeed stolen, I think that 2000 Mules does a very bad job of making its case, and that this movie is, overall, a failure.

First-of-its-kind research shows dangers of secondhand cannabis smoke

Toxic air pollutants from secondhand cannabis bong smoke are four times worse than that from cigarettes.

By Elise Proulx

April 1, 2022

Although 27% of young adults believe secondhand cannabis smoke (SHCS) exposure is safe, cannabis smoke has several hundred toxic chemicals, carcinogens, and fine particulate matter, many at higher concentrations than tobacco smoke.

Despite the known dangers of secondhand tobacco smoke, there has been a lack of research focused on the risk of SHCS from social cannabis smoking.

However, a new paper published March 30, 2022, in JAMA Network Open by authors Patton Khuu Nguyen, MPH, and Berkeley Public Health Professor of Environmental Health Sciences S. Katharine Hammond, is the first to quantify SHCS levels from social cannabis smoking using a bong in the home. The research reveals concentrations greatly exceeded those in homes with tobacco cigarette or hookah smoking and decayed very slowly, which suggests that, contrary to popular beliefs, bong smoking is not safe for those nearby.

Nguyen, who is a graduate of Berkeley Public Health, was selected as UC Berkeley’s inaugural Smoke and Tobacco Free Fellow in 2017. This research was conducted while he was a student at Berkeley Public Health.

“SHCS in the home can expose nonsmokers to extremely high concentrations of fine particulate matter, as much as 10 times greater than the very unhealthy wildfire smoke the Bay Area experienced during the orange sky days of September 2020,” says Nguyen. “Fine particulate matter decayed so slowly that even 12 hours after cannabis smoking ceased, the daily average concentration still exceeded US EPA daily standard by six-fold. Exposure to fine particulate matter above suggested limits has been shown to cause premature death, strokes, reduced lung function, and increased mortality from lung cancer and heart disease.”

“The public should be aware of the potential concerns with secondhand cannabis smoke,” said Nguyen. “Smokers should understand how smoking indoors can impact others and potentially expose children, pregnant women, the elderly, workers, and nonsmokers. Public health policies should establish cannabis smoke-free environments similar to tobacco smoke-free environments.”

Here are many examples of voter fraud in the 2020 U.S. Presidential election that, as far as I’m aware, have not been debunked. Last updated on April 9, 2023.

By Daniel Alman (aka Dan from Squirrel Hill)

The mainstream media continues to insist that there is “no evidence” of voter fraud in the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.

They are lying.

Here are many examples of voter fraud in the 2020 U.S. Presidential election that, as far as I’m aware, have not been debunked:

Update on April 9, 2023: This bolded part about Russell James Ramsland, Jr.  has been debunked by the Washington Post. Source: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:DIeNh6OUiiIJ:https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/interactive/2021/trump-election-fraud-texas-businessman-ramsland-asog/&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

Russell James Ramsland, Jr. audited 22 Dominion voting machines that were used in Antrim County, Michigan.

This is his conclusion from his report on his audit:

“We conclude that the Dominion Voting System is intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors to create systemic fraud and influence election results. The system intentionally generates an enormously high number of ballot errors. The electronic ballots are then transferred for adjudication. The intentional errors lead to bulk adjudication of ballots with no oversight, no transparency, and no audit trail. This leads to voter or election fraud. Based on our study, we conclude that The Dominion Voting System should not be used in Michigan. We further conclude that the results of Antrim County should not have been certified.”

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, and Michigan Judge Kevin Elsenheimer all tried to prevent the public from seeing Ramsland’s report on his audit.

Why did they try to prevent the public from seeing the audit?

What were they afraid of?

Also, after the audit was ordered, but before the audit actually took place, Benson ordered the memory in the voting machines to be erased.

Why did Benson order the memory in the machines to be erased before the audit?

What was she afraid of?

Mainstream media reported that Fulton County, Georgia, “stopped” counting ballots for the night because “a water pipe has broken,” and “sent the ballot counters home.”

Video shows Republican poll watchers and media reporters leaving the building.

The same video shows a few people remain, and continue counting votes without Republican poll watchers or media reporters.

Video shows an election worker scanning the same ballots three times.

The Only Rape Where the Left Says Victim-Blaming Is Okay

By Raymond Ibrahim

June 19, 2022

Swedish officials are warning Ukrainian women living in refugee centers not to dress in a way that might provoke men from “other cultures” — code for Muslim migrants, who, in Sweden, are mostly of the Somali variety — who reside in the same refugee center.

And how do these hapless Ukrainian refugees dress, to prompt such a warning?  According to Gitana Bengtsson, who has been helping them, “they usually dressed like us, you and me.  There is nothing strange about it.  They did not look like prostitutes.  If those women lived in the city, no one would tell them how to dress.”  Even so, and now that summer is near, the site manager has advised them not to wear shorts or skirts that reveal their body parts.

There have, moreover, been several other reports of Muslim migrants attacking or making female Ukrainian refugees feel unsafe.  In one instance, migrants broke into the hostels of Ukrainian women living with their children.  “They said that Sweden was a safe country, but I have not seen that,” one of these women said later.  Another woman said that, in Ukraine, they at least understood and knew how to respond to threats: “[w]hen there are bombs, I know at least that I can go down to the basement and hide there” — whereas now a migrant would-be rapist might be lurking there.

These Ukrainian women, unused to Muslims, apparently need to get with the times and embrace “multicultural” living.  The fact is, Western nations that house large Muslim migrant populations have repeatedly implied that if rapes are on the rise in their nations — Sweden is now the rape capital of the West, thanks to its Muslim population — that is because women are not doing “their part.”

A few examples follow.

After a 20-year-old Austrian woman waiting at a bus stop in Vienna was attacked, beaten, and robbed by four Muslim men—including one who “started [by] putting his hands through my hair and made it clear that in his cultural background there were hardly any blonde women” — police responded by telling the victim to dye her hair:

“At first I was scared, but now I’m more angry than anything. After the attack they told me that women shouldn’t be alone on the streets after 8pm. And they also gave me other advice, telling me I should dye my hair dark and also not dress in such a provocative way. Indirectly that means I was partly to blame for what happened to me. That is a massive insult.”

In 2001, Unni Wikan, a female professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, said:

“Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes,” because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. The professor’s conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but the exact opposite: “Norwegian women must realize that we live in a Multicultural society and adapt themselves to it.”

So much for the feminist claim that women are free to dress and behave as promiscuously and provocatively as they want — and woe to the man who dares cite this as justifying male sexual aggression.  Apparently, this feminist refrain does not apply to Muslim men.

And who can forget when Muslim migrant mobs sexually assaulted as many as one thousand women on New Year’s Eve 2016 in Cologne, Germany?  Then, the city’s mayor, Henriette Reker, called on the women — the victims, not their male abusers — to make changes: “women and young girls … should go out and have fun, but they need to be better prepared, especially with the Cologne carnival coming up.  For this, we will publish online guidelines that these young women can read through to prepare themselves.”

In yet another instance, seven Muslim migrants raped a teenage German girl in a park, after drugging her at a disco in Freiburg.  (She at least survived; in a similar case that occurred a week earlier in Italy, the drugged rape victim was left murdered.)  Bernhard Rotzinger, the police chief of Freiburg, responded by saying, “We cannot offer citizens an all-risk insurance [against crime], but I can advise this: don’t make yourself vulnerable by using alcohol or drugs.”

“Advice” against alcohol, drugs, and reckless behavior would be much more welcome had it not been made under duress.  As things stand, it is a cop-out.  Or, as another report discussing the aforementioned rape in Freiburg puts it, “[t]he focus on prevention is a good thing, but also shows how German authorities and media barely hold the migrant crisis responsible for the disaster that is unfolding in Germany.  Political correctness has caused officials to put the blame for the criminal acts on the women instead of Merkel’s guests.”

The greater irony of all these excuses is that, from the very start of Islam 14 centuries ago, European women — even completely continent nuns — have always been portrayed by Muslims as sexually promiscuous by nature, and how they dressed had nothing to do with it.  This article discusses the historic roots of this phenomenon.  Modern-day examples indicating that this motif is still alive and well follow:

A British woman was trafficked to Morocco, where she was prostituted and repeatedly raped by dozens of Muslim men.  They “made me believe I was nothing more than a slut, a white whore,” she recollected.  “They treated me like a leper, apart from when they wanted sex.  I was less than human to them, I was rubbish.”

Another British girl was “passed around like a piece of meat” among Muslim men who abused and raped her between the ages of 12 and 14.  Speaking recently as an adult, a court heard how she “was raped on a dirty mattress above a takeaway and forced to perform [fellatio] in a churchyard,” and how one of her abusers “urinated on her in an act of humiliation” afterward.

A Muslim man explained to another British woman why he was raping her: “you white women are good at it.”

A Muslim man called a 13-year-old virgin “a little white slag” — British slang for “loose, promiscuous woman” — before raping her.

In Germany, a group of Muslim migrants stalked a 25-year-old woman, hurled “filthy” insults at her, and taunted her for sex.  They too explained their logic — “German girls are just there for sex” — before reaching into her blouse and groping her.

Another Muslim man who almost killed his 25-year-old German victim while raping her — and shouting “Allah!” — afterward inquired if she liked it.

In Australia, a Muslim cabbie groped and insulted his female passengers, including by saying, “All Australian women are sluts and deserve to be raped.”

In Austria, an “Arabic-looking man” approached a 27-year-old woman at a bus stop, pulled down his pants, and “all he could say was sex, sex, sex,” prompting the woman to scream and flee.

In short, the ancient Islamic motif concerning the alleged promiscuity of European women is alive and well — irrespective of the latter’s behavior or dress — and continues to drive the Muslim rape of Western women.

Yet, even in this, Islam can turn to those “progressive,” godless elements that dominate Western society for cover.  For, just as “the left” has worked long and hard to portray Islamic intolerance, violence, and terrorism as the West’s fault — because of the Crusades, because of colonialism, because of cartoons, because of Israel, because of freedom of speech — it now adds and legitimizes Islam’s worldview concerning Western promiscuity to the list of reasons that “provoke” Muslims to attack.

Here’s yet another news article about the “struggles” of a “low income,” “single mom,” where the article makes exactly zero mention of the father of the children

Insider just published this article about the “struggles” of a “low income” “single mom.” The article makes exactly zero mention of the father of the children.

The mainstream media has been doing everything it can to try to normalize the idea that children don’t need a father. I’ve previously written about this kind of thing here, here, here, here, here, and here.

In this particular case, the mother wants the government to give her $187,000 in taxpayers’ money. That’s the amount of money that the mother borrowed under her own name to pay for her children to go to college so they could become “successful.”

So here’s my question: If these children are “successful,” why aren’t they willing to use their own money to pay back the loans?

A single mom who took on $187,000 in student debt for her kids wishes Biden would consider parents in his loan-forgiveness plans: ‘I just don’t feel like it’s fair that we’re overlooked’

By Ayelet Sheffey

June 18, 2022

* Biden’s reported debt-forgiveness plan likely won’t include parents who took out loans for their kids.

* Adria Mansfield, 43, has $187,000 in parent PLUS student loans she took out for her kids’ college.

* It was the only way she could give her kids a higher education, and she can’t afford to pay it off.

Adria Mansfield will do whatever it takes to give her children the best futures — even if it involves a six-figure student-debt load.

The problem for her lies in President Joe Biden’s broad student-loan-forgiveness plans, and the fact that parents haven’t been included in that conversation.

“Half of our children would not be able to go to school and become successful if it weren’t for the parents,” said Mansfield, 43. “And I just don’t feel like it’s fair that we’re overlooked.”

Mansfield’s $187,300 student-debt load comes from parent PLUS loans that she took out for two of her kids, which allowed her to borrow the full cost of attendance minus any financial aid the child already received. About 3.7 million families hold parent PLUS loans that total $104 billion. Those types of federal loans have the highest interest rate at 6.28%, and they’re set to increase to 7.54% in July.

Working in a school as a behavior facilitator and being the sole provider for her kids, Mansfield didn’t make enough to pay out-of-pocket tuition at one public and one private university for her kids. She took out the maximum amount of PLUS loans for two of her children and plans to do the same for her daughter who is graduating high school this year. She says it was the only way she could ensure her kids would get a higher education.

While Biden is considering $10,000 in student-loan forgiveness for undergraduate borrowers making under $150,000, parents and graduate students haven’t been included in those plans, and Mansfield said she’s looking at payments for the foreseeable future without options for relief.

“Society pressures our kids so much into needing college because you have to get a degree to have a better job, so I felt it was important because that’s what my kids wanted to do,” Mansfield said. “But now we’re being punished for taking out loans so our children will be successful.”

‘Feeding my children and taking care of our necessities is my first choice’

After her children graduated college in 2017 and 2019, Mansfield was placed on an income-driven repayment plan that allowed her to temporarily make $0 monthly payments because of her low income. While she said not having to make those payments was helpful, the interest continued to build, making it almost impossible for her to get ahead of her debt — and she said that element has affected her “tremendously.”

“I had this debt on my credit, and it was restricting me from getting a house because my student-loan amount was so high that the lenders didn’t even want to lend me money to buy a house,” Mansfield said. “And I certainly don’t make enough money to pay off the loan, and feeding my children and taking care of our necessities is my first choice.”

Mansfield isn’t alone in her struggles — many other parents have taken out student loans under their own names to provide for their kids, and they’re left paying off debt that gets higher and higher because of surging interest. A recent report from The Century Foundation, a left-leaning think tank, said the average PLUS-loan borrower still has 55% of the initial balance remaining after 10 years of repayment — and 38% after 20 years, which means most parents spend more time paying off student loans than they did raising their kids.

Kristin Blagg, a researcher at the Urban Institute, previously told Insider that the idea of giving loans to a student is so they’ll earn enough money with a degree to pay the debt back, but that’s not the case for parents.

“The math for parents, particularly if they’re really unable to pay the college tuition and other costs at the moment their child is going to school, that math doesn’t quite work out because the parents aren’t necessarily receiving that benefit of a college education,” Blagg said.

‘We need to be considered in the loan forgiveness’

Biden hasn’t yet confirmed an amount of student-loan relief he’s considering, and the only definitive statement he’s made so far on the topic is that $50,000 in relief — an amount progressives were pushing for — is off the table. But it’s likely the relief will focus on undergraduates, which would leave those with PLUS loans in the dark.

Peter Granville, a senior policy associate at The Century Foundation, recently told Politico the reason parents haven’t been included in the loan-forgiveness conversation might be because when it comes to parent PLUS loans “there’s very little data on these parents themselves,” and there’s “much less known about actual parents and their outcomes when it comes to taking on these loans.”

Either way, Mansfield hopes whatever decision Biden makes won’t exclude the borrowers who did what they needed to do to help their children succeed.

“I just want us parents that have put our name on the dotted line so that our children can be successful to be considered in the fact that we, too, have struggles,” Mansfield said. “We took the loans out for our children to be successful. We need to be considered in the loan forgiveness as well.”

Harassing people at the library is a “protest” when it’s done by idiots on the left, but a “hate crime” when it’s done by idiots on the right

This video was filmed in 2015 at a library at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. Dartmouth is an Ive League college which will be charging $60,687 in tuition (plus an additional $1,971 in “fees,” $10,881 for housing, and $7,218 for food) for the 2022-2023 school year.

$7,218 for one year’s worth of food? When I went to college, I had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. Maybe instead of forgiving student debt, we should stop colleges from price gouging.

Anyway, the left wing people in this video are described as “protestors.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5WhrFh1Wx8

Meanwhile, in 2022, at San Lorenzo Library in Alameda County, California, some right wing people decided to harass people. But their actions were described as a “hate crime.”

This news video includes video footage of the incident:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0e_3vlKUfc

I think both of these incidents were totally inappropriate.

What I don’t agree with is that it’s OK to call one a “protest” while calling the other one a “hate crime.”

We should hold the left and the right to the same standards.

Harassing people in the library is always wrong, regardless of the political affiliation of the harassers.

Video – Rachel Maddow: “Just a key point, that yes, there was a pro-Trump rally at which the president spoke. And we can absolutely talk about all the things the president said there. But the idea that that rally is the thing that got out of hand and that somehow resulted in the breaching of the capitol – that rally was very far from the Capitol and the people who, as you say, did the initial breach, that allowed everybody else to come in, they never even went to that rally.”

Dershowitz: Jan. 6 Panel ‘Doctored the Tape,’ Edited Out Trump’s Words

June 10, 2022

Constitutional law expert Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax on Friday that the Jan. 6 committee’s public hearing on Thursday night was ”not a fair proceeding” in that it was ”one-sided” and ”unethical.”

”Take, for example, President Trump’s speech on Jan. 6,” Dershowitz said on ”Spicer & Co.” ”He said at the end of the speech he wanted people to show their voices patriotically and peacefully.

”They doctored the tape,” he continued. ”They edited those words out. If a prosecutor ever did that, they’d be disbarred. You can’t present part of the tape and deliberately omit the rest of the tape in order to mislead the audience, especially when the other side has no opportunity to cross-examine, no opportunity to present its own evidence.”

Citing data from Nielsen Media Research, the New York Post reports that more than 20 million Americans tuned into Thursday night’s prime-time hearing by the House select committee investigating last year’s Capitol attack — a larger figure than watched this year’s Academy Awards ceremony.

According to the Post, Thursday’s public hearing was the first of six the committee plans to hold in the coming weeks to reveal its findings about the events of Jan. 6, 2021, when a mob of protesters stormed the Capitol building to disrupt the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory in the Electoral College.

Dershowitz went on to say that if the leader of Black Lives Matter had been arrested for inciting violence because a speech they made led to violence, he would defend them ”on the grounds that the First Amendment protects advocacy, it doesn’t protect incitement.”

”So, President Trump committed no crimes,” he said. ”Anybody who thinks that he did fails to understand the First Amendment.”

Because Donald Trump’s side had no opportunity to present its case, Dershowitz said the committee had a ”special ethical obligation not to cheat, not to defraud the viewers, and that’s exactly what the Democrats, with their two Republicans, did yesterday.”

”They cheated the viewers of hearing the actual words that Donald Trump spoke,” he said.

To ensure a fair hearing, Dershowitz said there should have been an independent commission, one like the 9/11 Commission.

”People would take seriously a nonpartisan, non-biased commission,” he said. ”But nobody should take seriously this one-sided basketball game in which only one team is allowed to shoot for the basket, and the other team is not even allowed to defend.”

No school that lets teachers carry guns has ever had a gun murder during school hours

Schools that Allow Teachers to Carry Guns are Extremely Safe: Data on the Rate of Shootings and Accidents in Schools that allow Teachers to Carry

By John R. Lott

April 25, 2019

After the Columbine school shooting 20 years ago, one of the more significant changes in how we protect students has been the advance of legislation that allows teachers to carry guns at schools. There are two obvious questions: Does letting teachers carry create dangers? Might they deter attackers? Twenty states currently allow teachers and staff to carry guns to varying degrees on school property, so we don’t need to guess how the policy would work. There has yet to be a single case of someone being wounded or killed from a shooting, let alone a mass public shooting, between 6 AM and midnight at a school that lets teachers carry guns. Fears of teachers carrying guns in terms of such problems as students obtaining teachers guns have not occurred at all, and there was only one accidental discharge outside of school hours with no one was really harmed. While there have not been any problems at schools with armed teachers, the number of people killed at other schools has increased significantly – doubling between 2001 and 2008 versus 2009 and 2018.

Washington Post spirals out of control after a writer retweets a ‘reprehensible’ joke about women

By Carlos Garcia

June 3, 2022

A spokesperson for the Washington Post issued an apology after a writer retweeted a sexist joke and other writers at the news outlet objected vocally on Twitter.

Dave Weigel retweeted a joke about women on Friday and immediately regretted it after he was criticized heavily for joking on Twitter.

Weigel deleted the tweet, but it was saved for posterity by random people on Twitter and other writers at the outlet, like Felicia Sonmez, who objected to the sexist message.

“Every girl is bi. You just have to figure out if it’s polar or sexual,” read the tweet.

“Fantastic to work at a news outlet where retweets like this are allowed!” replied Sonmez sarcastically.

“Or perhaps @daveweigel the correct diagnosis: they’re just not that into you,” responded Stephanie Ruhl, the MSNBC host.

Kristine Coratti Kelly, a Wapo spokesperson, quickly issued an apology for the offensive joke tweet.

“Editors have made clear to the staff that the tweet was reprehensible and demeaning language or actions like that will not be tolerated,” said Kelly.

Weigel also apologized.

For some on the left, it wasn’t enough.

“You are still misogynistic trash. Can’t believe @washingtonpost still employs someone with such deep-seated sexist beliefs. Definitely clouds his ability to report unbiased facts,” responded liberal activist Amy Siskind.

According to a report by CNN’s Oliver Darcy, WaPo national editor Matea Gold addressed the controversy with the outlet’s employees on a channel on Slack.

“I just want to assure all of you that The Post is committed to maintaining a respectful workplace for everyone. We do not tolerate demeaning language or actions,” Gold wrote.

The whole bizarre episode was mocked and ridiculed by many on social media.

“Seriously? The Washington Post had to issue a statement about a retweet of a dumb joke? Nearly a dozen journalists in Mexico have been murdered since the start of the year and here we have people freaking out because Dave Weigel retweeted something. Goddamned babies,” said editor Jay Caruso.

Norwegian Feminist Facing Up To Three Years In Prison Over Tweets

Norwegian Feminist Facing Up To Three Years In Prison Over Tweets

By Genevieve Gluck

May 25, 2022

A Norwegian feminist could be facing up to three years in prison for allegedly “hateful” tweets directed at a male who claims to be a lesbian woman.

Christina Ellingsen, a representative of feminist organization Women’s Declaration International (WDI) is being investigated under hate crime charges for tweets she made between February 2021 and January 2022.

The tweets in question were replies directed at Christine Marie Jentoft, a representative of trans activist group Foreningen FRI. Jentoft is a male who identifies as a lesbian woman.

Ellingsen’s charges are centered around her questioning why FRI promoted the belief that men could be lesbians. While police are still investigating, if she is found guilty, Ellingsen could face a prison sentence of up to three years.

Norway introduced “gender identity” into the hate crime paragraphs in January 2021. At the time, WDI Norway (formerly WHRC Norway) warned that the introduction of the concept into law would result in persecution of women for stating biological facts.

“Why [does] FRI teach young people that males can be lesbians? Isn’t that conversion therapy?” Ellingsen tweeted in October 2021.

A second tweet that has been cited as evidence of hate speech reads, “Jentoft, who is male and an advisor in FRI, presents himself as a lesbian – that’s how bonkers the organization which supposedly works to protect young lesbians’ interests is. How does it help young lesbians when males claim to be lesbian, too?”

Ellingsen was recently accused by Amnesty International Norway of harassing Jentoft after telling him on national television that he was male.

“You are a man. You cannot be a mother,” Ellingsen had said, “To normalize the idea that men can be mothers is a defined form of discrimination against women.”

After speaking with her lawyer earlier this week, Ellingsen told Reduxx she had learned that the police report made against her was filed by Jentoft himself.

Jentoft previously sparked controversy after inviting children to contact him for hugs in a tweet made in 2018.

“Dear queer children of all ages! I know some of us have parents who don’t love us any more. But thanks to a [Facebook] video I have just seen, I just want to inform you that I am actually a certified mother. So if you ever need a real motherly hug, I will be happy to oblige!” Jentoft wrote.

Ellingsen pointed out that even though Jentoft is involved with a powerful lobbying group, he nevertheless reported her to the police as a civilian member of the public. “The police attorney’s decision to open this investigation against a women’s rights activist is deeply concerning,” she said.

Jentoft is an advisor on gender diversity for FRI, also known as the Norwegian Organization for Sexual and Gender Diversity. FRI was previously known as The National Association for Lesbian and Gay Liberation.

Since 1997, FRI has been working towards the repeal of sexual paraphilias and fetishes as mental health diagnoses in both Norway and abroad. In 2010, many paraphilia-related diagnoses were removed from Norwegian medical literature, and in 2018 the World Health Organization (WHO) followed suit. The FRI’s campaigns successfully resulted in sadomasochism, transvestic fetishism, and general fetishism being re-classified as variants in sexual arousal in the 11th edition of the International Classification of Diseases.

In 2016, a law was introduced in Norway allowing those aged 6+ to change their legal sex on documents. Currently, it is not possible to change parental status, though FRI has been campaigning to change that.

A mother is in Norway legally defined in the laws governing children’s rights as the “woman who has given birth to the child.” In recent years, FRI has been lobbying to redefine the legal definition of “mother” to “birth parent,” along with other linguistic alterations aimed at making laws “gender neutral.”

Five years ago, the Norwegian government announced its intention to introduce gender neutral identification markers by 2032, thus eliminating sex-based data which may be useful to understanding the impact of laws and policies on women and children.

“I am under police investigation for campaigning for women’s rights, because to certain groups, the fact that women and girls are female and that men cannot be women, girls, mothers or lesbians, is considered hateful,” Ellingsen told Reduxx.

“Women are not protected against hate speech in Norway, but men who claim to be both lesbian and a woman, are protected both on the grounds of gender identity and on the grounds of sexual orientation,” Ellingsen said.

“The fact that police are legally able to investigate and persecute women who engage in women’s rights is concerning. This is new territory in Norway, so the outcome of the investigation is important, both if the case is dismissed and if it leads to trial.”

In 2021, a Norwegian man was sentenced to 21 days in prison and a fine of 15,000NRK after being found guilty of “insulting” and “misgendering” a trans-identified male on Facebook.

Video shows men on New York subway doing nothing as thug assaults woman

Where are all the men?

By Breason Jacak

June 1, 2022

On May 28, Sky News Australia posted a video titled “New York bearing signs of ‘societal decay.'”  The video shows a man (who seems as if he is on drugs) entering a train car and sitting next to a young woman.  He then touches her without consent, grabs her, drags her around a bit, and generally is an extremely unpleasant nuisance.  He eventually leaves her alone and proceeds to try to kick out one of the windows.

During the video, the young woman is seen looking at other passengers, with obvious worry in her eyes, begging somebody to please “help me.”  Nobody tries to help her.  The news anchor, Rita Panahi, asks the question, “Where are the men?”

If I had to guess, they were standing in their place, checking their male privilege, toning down their toxic masculinity, and coping with how their Time’s Up.  Perhaps the men wanted a demonstration of how women are actually the stronger sex.  Perhaps the threat level just did not seem that high to them; New York has a duty to retreat, after all.  Besides, New York has been in the habit of arresting those who defend themselves.

Most likely, the men who were on the train did not care about this woman.  They did not know her and were not likely to ever get to know her.  How could it be worth it for these men to possibly be killed or maimed (it is unknown if the aggressor had a knife) for the sake of someone who may as well not exist to them?

Then again, let us give these men the benefit of the doubt.  Perhaps they probably did want to help this woman.  Watching the video, you might notice something about the aggressor.  My guess is that none of the men watching wanted to become the next George Zimmerman.  We all saw the emotional toll Kyle Rittenhouse suffered for defending himself.  (Yes, the media vilified him for having an emotional testimony.)

The anchor refers to the men on the train as cowards, but I think that might be a bit unfair.  Quite simply, Western society does not trust people who defend themselves or others.  In 2016, a 17-year-old Danish girl was arrested for defending herself with pepper spray from a would-be-rapist.  In 2020, a Virginia store clerk was arrested for defending his store from robbers.  Even an elderly U.K. pensioner was arrested for “stabbing a burglar to death.”  It is entirely possible that those men had such cases in mind.

In the armed defense community, there is a common phrase: “better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.”  In most cases, this is true; it is better to be alive to face trial than to be dead.  But is it better to be condemned by society than to let a crime happen to another person?  How difficult is it to imagine anyone who may have intervened being decried as racist?

I can see the headlines maligning any actions taken as being racially motivated or entirely aggressive.  Let us not forget the videos posted without context of the Covington kids, or how Darren Wilson maliciously killed an unarmed teenager.  Perhaps the media would issue corrections for the “mistakes” made in the reports, but no doubt the names, faces, and workplaces of those involved would have already been exposed.

Miss Panahi was definitely right about one thing: society is declining.  The signs are legion and everywhere, but it is not necessary to get into that here.  I just want to make the case that cowardice may not have been the only reason that no men acted that day, especially considering the society that fostered these men.

If Joe Biden Cared About Gun Laws, Hunter Biden Would Already Be In Jail

If Joe Biden Cared About Gun Laws, Hunter Biden Would Already Be In Jail

By Tristan Justice

June 3, 2022

Before President Biden lectures Americans about responsible gun ownership, some self-reflection is warranted.

President Joe Biden is on a full-blown crusade to regulate or repeal the Second Amendment out of existence. While Democrats are often not honest about their intentions, this has always been their true agenda. Biden’s son, Hunter, who appeared to purchase a gun illegally in 2018, could be among those hardest hit.

On Thursday night, the president went on a nearly 20-minute tirade on the need to ban “assault weapons,” whatever that means.

“Why in God’s name should an ordinary citizen be able to purchase an assault weapon that holds 30-round magazines that let mass shooters fire hundreds of bullets in a matter of minutes,” Biden said, ranting on the graves of the 19 children and their two teachers gunned down by a madman in Uvalde, Texas last week.

“We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines,” demanded the president. “And if we can’t ban assault weapons, then we should raise the age to purchase them from 18 to 21. Strengthen the background checks, enact safe storage laws and ‘red flag’ laws. Repeal the immunity that protects gun manufacturers from liability.”

For starters, suing gun manufacturers for the way their firearms are used is akin to suing the Ford Motor Company because a black suspect motivated by anti-white racism allegedly plowed through a Wisconsin Christmas parade, brutally killing at least six with Ford Escape SUV. In stark contrast to his immediate visits to Buffalo and Uvalde following mass tragedies, Biden made no trip to console the families of Waukesha, Wisconsin, nor did he demand Congress take on the car lobby.

Biden summarized his demands in a tweet calling on lawmakers to pass new gun bans and repeal immunity laws for firearm manufacturers that don’t exist.

An easy giveaway that Democrats aren’t ever actually serious about solving the underlying issues whenever tragedy strikes with firearm, Federalist Senior Editor David Harsanyi points out, are that the laws they routinely propose never would have prevented the carnage in the first place.

joe biden gun tweet

Details aside, President Biden doesn’t have room to speak on gun control until his son faces, at minimum, a substantive criminal investigation into his answers on a background check when purchasing a firearm in 2018.

When asked by the Firearms Transaction Record (Form 4473) whether he is an “unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance,” Hunter Biden answered, “no.”

While it’s unclear whether Hunter was an active user at the time, it’s far from inconceivable following repeated rehab visits in 2003, 2010, and 2014 for treatment with highly addictive substances. In 2014, Hunter was discharged from the Navy for cocaine use, and according to the New Yorker, went on another cocaine binge in 2016.

Three years later, the president’s son abandoned his laptop at a Delaware repair shop. It possessed graphic footage of the first son appearing to smoke crack cocaine during sexual encounters. In 2018, the same year Hunter purchased the revolver apparently found abandoned in the garbage by Secret Service, the younger Biden was suspected of smoking crack in a D.C. strip club.

Lying on a Form 4473 to purchase a firearm is a felony offense that can carry up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Before Biden goes on lecturing Americans about responsible gun ownership and threatening to regulate ownership out of existence, some self-reflection is warranted.
