FBI obtained FISA warrant to monitor Trump adviser Carter Page
April 11, 2017
The FBI obtained a secret court order last summer to monitor the communications of an adviser to presidential candidate Donald Trump, part of an investigation into possible links between Russia and the campaign, law enforcement and other U.S. officials said.
The FBI and the Justice Department obtained the warrant targeting Carter Page’s communications after convincing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge that there was probable cause to believe Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power, in this case Russia, according to the officials.
This is the clearest evidence so far that the FBI had reason to believe during the 2016 presidential campaign that a Trump campaign adviser was in touch with Russian agents. Such contacts are now at the center of an investigation into whether the campaign coordinated with the Russian government to swing the election in Trump’s favor.
Page has not been accused of any crimes, and it is unclear whether the Justice Department might later seek charges against him or others in connection with Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election. The counterintelligence investigation into Russian efforts to influence U.S. elections began in July, officials have said. Most such investigations don’t result in criminal charges.
The officials spoke about the court order on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details of a counterintelligence probe.
During an interview with the Washington Post editorial page staff in March 2016, Trump identified Page, who had previously been an investment banker in Moscow, as a foreign policy adviser to his campaign. Campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks later described Page’s role as “informal.”
Page has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in his dealings with the Trump campaign or Russia.
“This confirms all of my suspicions about unjustified, politically motivated government surveillance,” Page said in an interview Tuesday. “I have nothing to hide.” He compared surveillance of him to the eavesdropping that the FBI and Justice Department conducted against civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
Yesterday, on March 28, 2017, while speaking live on MSNBC, Evelyn Farkas, who had been Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense as part of President Obama’s administration, said that the Obama administration had spied on Donald Trump.
Here’s the video:
A quick online search shows that this has not so far been covered by the New York Times, the Washington Post, Associated Press, Reuters, or any other mainstream media source.
But the video is out there.
And even if YouTube takes it down, someone else will always be able to put it back up. If not on YouTube, then somewhere else instead.
This was live TV. Live TV sometimes has its “oops” moments, which, in today’s internet age, can never be totally covered up.

Liberal hypocrites never complained when Obama conducted the largest illegal immigration raid in U.S. history
You know all those liberals who are complaining about how Trump just conducted a raid on 683 illegal immigrants?
Those same liberals were silent after Obama conducted a raid on 3,168 illegal immigrants during the last week of March, 2012. It was the largest illegal immigration raid in U.S. history.
Hypocrite liberals said nothing after Obama detained Ibtihaj Muhammad, a law abiding, Muslim, U.S. citizen, who was born in New Jersey, and who won an Olympic medal
If Trump had done this, liberals would be – justifiably so – heavily outraged.
But because this was done by Obama, liberals said nothing.
Barack Obama in 2005: “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked”
Liberal hypocrites never complained about how Obama’s Syrian refugee policy discriminated against Christians
Liberals – justifiably so – have been complaining about how Trump wants to discriminate against Muslim immigrants.
However, these same liberals were completely silent when Obama discriminated against Christian immigrants.
However, on November 30, 2015, it was reported that during the previous two weeks (i.e., the two weeks immediately after Islamic terrorists murdered 130 people in Paris) of the 132 Syrian refugees that the Obama administration had admitted into the U.S., 100% of them were Muslim, and 0% of them were Christian.
But there was not a peep from liberals about this religious discrimination.
In May 2016, the Obama administration admitted 1,035 Muslim refugees from Syria into the U.S., but only two Christian refugees from that same country.
Again, silence from liberals regarding this religious discrimination.
From early to mid August 2016, the Obama administration admitted 1,575 Muslim refugees from Syria into the U.S., but only 12 Christian refugees from that same country.
And again, no complaints from liberals about this religious discrimination.
Sheikh Mohammad Rateb al-Nabulsi is a Muslim preacher from Syria who has called for homosexuals to be executed. In March 2014, Obama gave him a visa so he could spread his message to mosques in 17 U.S. cities.
This one is especially concerning. Why did Obama want this guy in the U.S.?
For a lot more nonsense like this from Obama, please see this blog post that I wrote, which is called “Here are 36 reasons why I would not be surprised if Obama wanted Iran to destroy Israel.”
After 8 Years Of Unbroken War, Obama Hands Over Conflicts To Trump
January 18, 2017
Among the many things President Obama will be handing off to his successor this week: stubborn wars in three separate countries.
Obama came to office eight years ago vowing to end U.S. military interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yet President-elect Trump stands to inherit the nation’s longest war ever in Afghanistan, as well as renewed fighting in Iraq that has spread to Syria.
The outgoing president was reminded of the persistence of those wars at the pomp-filled farewell ceremony the Pentagon put on for him him earlier this month at a nearby military base.
“Mr. President, we’ve been at war throughout your tenure,” said Gen. Joesph Dunford, chosen by Obama in 2015 to be chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. “That’s a period longer than any other American president.”
That’s right: Obama is the first president to serve eight years and preside over American wars during every single day of his tenure.
Obama commuted the sentence of someone who “transported explosives with intent to kill and injure people and to destroy government buildings and property”
Obama Commutes Sentence of F.A.L.N. Member Oscar Lopez Rivera
January 17, 2017
President Obama on Tuesday commuted the sentence of a man convicted for his role in a Puerto Rican nationalist group linked to more than 100 bombings in New York and other cities in the 1970s and 1980s.
The man, Oscar Lopez Rivera, was serving a 70-year sentence after being convicted of numerous charges, including seditious conspiracy, a charge used for those plotting to overthrow the United States government.
He was linked to the radical group known as the F.A.L.N., the Spanish acronym for the Armed Forces of National Liberation, and was one of more than a dozen group members convicted in the 1980s.
Under Mr. Obama’s commutation order, Mr. Lopez Rivera’s prison sentence will expire May 17. It was one of 209 grants of commutation by the president announced Tuesday.
The F.A.L.N., which waged a violent campaign for the independence of Puerto Rico, was considered by the authorities to be among the most elusive and resilient terrorist groups to operate in the United States. Among its notable attacks was a bombing at Fraunces Tavern in New York in 1975 that killed four people.
The group was known for its tight-knit membership, fanatical zeal and hit-and-run tactics, as exemplified by the bombings of four government buildings in Manhattan and Brooklyn on New Year’s Eve in 1982 that seriously wounded three police officers.
Mr. Lopez Rivera was not specifically charged in the Fraunces Tavern bombing but more broadly with, among other things, the interstate transportation of firearms with the intent to commit violent crimes, and transportation of explosives with intent to kill and injure people and to destroy government buildings and property.
Fake news from the Huffington Post: “In 2 Terms, Barack Obama Had Fewer Scandals Than Donald Trump Has Had In The Last 2 Weeks”
This ridiculously titled article from the Huffington Post is called “In 2 Terms, Barack Obama Had Fewer Scandals Than Donald Trump Has Had In The Last 2 Weeks.”
For anyone who hasn’t seen it, I’d like to point out this blog entry that I wrote, which is called “Here are 1,342 well sourced examples of Obama’s lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, hypocrisy, waste, etc.”
I’ve seen a huge number of examples of Obama supporters being in denial about the horrible things that he has done, and this Huffington Post article is one of the best examples.
Many of the things on my list consist of Obama continuing the very same things that liberals hated Bush for doing. They hated Bush for doing those things, but they totally ignore the fact that Obama did the exact same things.
Giving a no-bid contract to Halliburton? It was scandal when Bush did it. But liberals like to pretend that Obama never did the exact same thing.
Illegally engaging in military interventionism without approval from Congress? It was a scandal when Bush did it. But liberals like to pretend that Obama never did the exact same thing.
Creating a government faith based program? It was a scandal when Bush did it. But when Obama continued and even expanded the program, there was not a peep from liberals.
Unwarranted wiretapping? Horrible when Bush did it. But perfectly fine when Obama did it.
And on and on and on.
UC Berkeley says the Obama administration might force it to remove 13,800 hours of free educational videos from YouTube
This is the YouTube channel for University of California, Berkeley: https://www.youtube.com/user/UCBerkeley/videos
It has 13,800 hours of free educational content.
Recently, the Department of Justice sent this letter to the school, which criticized the videos for not being closed captioned, and for not having audio descriptions of content that was visible on chalkboards.
The school responded by issuing a statement which said it might have to remove the videos because of this. Specifically, the school’s statement said:
“… we might not be able to continue to provide free public content under the conditions laid out by the Department of Justice to the extent we have in the past.”
“In many cases the requirements proposed by the department would require the university to implement extremely expensive measures to continue to make these resources available to the public for free…”
The same letter from the Justicte Department also ordered the school to pay “compensatory damages” to deaf people because these free educational videos were not closed captioned.
However, the Justice Department did not explain how it was possible for the school to pay “compensatory damages” for something that the school had given away for free.
Washington Post: “6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008… Obama won more than 80 percent of the votes of non-citizens”
Could non-citizens decide the November election?
October 24, 2014
Could control of the Senate in 2014 be decided by illegal votes cast by non-citizens? Some argue that incidents of voting by non-citizens are so rare as to be inconsequential, with efforts to block fraud a screen for an agenda to prevent poor and minority voters from exercising the franchise, while others define such incidents as a threat to democracy itself. Both sides depend more heavily on anecdotes than data.
In a forthcoming article in the journal Electoral Studies, we bring real data from big social science survey datasets to bear on the question of whether, to what extent, and for whom non-citizens vote in U.S. elections. Most non-citizens do not register, let alone vote. But enough do that their participation can change the outcome of close races.
Our data comes from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES). Its large number of observations (32,800 in 2008 and 55,400 in 2010) provide sufficient samples of the non-immigrant sub-population, with 339 non-citizen respondents in 2008 and 489 in 2010. For the 2008 CCES, we also attempted to match respondents to voter files so that we could verify whether they actually voted.
How many non-citizens participate in U.S. elections? More than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples indicated that they were registered to vote. Furthermore, some of these non-citizens voted. Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010.
Because non-citizens tended to favor Democrats (Obama won more than 80 percent of the votes of non-citizens in the 2008 CCES sample), we find that this participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections. Non-citizen votes could have given Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health-care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress. Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) won election in 2008 with a victory margin of 312 votes. Votes cast by just 0.65 percent of Minnesota non-citizens could account for this margin. It is also possible that non-citizen votes were responsible for Obama’s 2008 victory in North Carolina. Obama won the state by 14,177 votes, so a turnout by 5.1 percent of North Carolina’s adult non-citizens would have provided this victory margin.
We also find that one of the favorite policies advocated by conservatives to prevent voter fraud appears strikingly ineffective. Nearly three quarters of the non-citizens who indicated they were asked to provide photo identification at the polls claimed to have subsequently voted.
An alternative approach to reducing non-citizen turnout might emphasize public information. Unlike other populations, including naturalized citizens, education is not associated with higher participation among non-citizens. In 2008, non-citizens with less than a college degree were significantly more likely to cast a validated vote, and no non-citizens with a college degree or higher cast a validated vote. This hints at a link between non-citizen voting and lack of awareness about legal barriers.
There are obvious limitations to our research, which one should take account of when interpreting the results. Although the CCES sample is large, the non-citizen portion of the sample is modest, with the attendant uncertainty associated with sampling error. We analyze only 828 self-reported non-citizens. Self-reports of citizen status might also be a source of error, although the appendix of our paper shows that the racial, geographic, and attitudinal characteristics of non-citizens (and non-citizen voters) are consistent with their self-reported status.
Another possible limitation is the matching process conducted by Catalist to verify registration and turnout drops many non-citizen respondents who cannot be matched. Our adjusted estimate assumes the implication of a “registered” or “voted” response among those who Catalist could not match is the same as for those whom it could. If one questions this assumption, one might focus only on those non-citizens with a reported and validated vote. This is the second line of the table.
Finally, extrapolation to specific state-level or district-level election outcomes is fraught with substantial uncertainty. It is obviously possible that non-citizens in California are more likely to vote than non-citizens in North Carolina, or vice versa. Thus, we are much more confident that non-citizen votes mattered for the Minnesota Senate race (a turnout of little more than one-tenth of our adjusted estimate is all that would be required) than that non-citizen votes changed the outcome in North Carolina.
Our research cannot answer whether the United States should move to legalize some electoral participation by non-citizens as many other countries do, and as some U.S. states did for more than 100 years, or find policies that more effectively restrict it. But this research should move that debate a step closer to a common set of facts.
Compare and Contrast: DONALD TRUMP vs OBAMA on Tyrant Fidel Castro’s Death
November 26, 2016
Cuban Communist Fidel Castro finally died last night.
He was 90 years old.
Barack Obama and Donald Trump both released statements on Castro’s death.
President Barack Obama released a statement Saturday morning on Castro’s death.
Obama would not condemn this evil man.
Instead, Obama said “history will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him.”
What the hell was that supposed to mean?
Via The White House:
Statement by the President on the Passing of Fidel Castro
“At this time of Fidel Castro’s passing, we extend a hand of friendship to the Cuban people. We know that this moment fills Cubans – in Cuba and in the United States – with powerful emotions, recalling the countless ways in which Fidel Castro altered the course of individual lives, families, and of the Cuban nation. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him.”
“For nearly six decades, the relationship between the United States and Cuba was marked by discord and profound political disagreements. During my presidency, we have worked hard to put the past behind us, pursuing a future in which the relationship between our two countries is defined not by our differences but by the many things that we share as neighbors and friends – bonds of family, culture, commerce, and common humanity. This engagement includes the contributions of Cuban Americans, who have done so much for our country and who care deeply about their loved ones in Cuba.”
“Today, we offer condolences to Fidel Castro’s family, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Cuban people. In the days ahead, they will recall the past and also look to the future. As they do, the Cuban people must know that they have a friend and partner in the United States of America.”
Now here is President-elect Donald Trump’s statement that was just sent out:
President-Elect Donald J. Trump Statement
“Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castro’s legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights.”
“While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve.”
“Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty. I join the many Cuban Americans who supported me so greatly in the presidential campaign, including the Brigade 2506 Veterans Association that endorsed me, with the hope of one day soon seeing a free Cuba.”
Update: The “Defcon Warning System” mentioned in this article is NOT the official DEFCON system that we are all familiar with. Instead, it is a completely DIFFERENT organization which deliberately tries to trick people. And I fell for it. My error. I apologize.
Defcon nuclear threat REDUCED to safest level following Donald Trump victory
America’s Defcon warning level has been reduced to its safest threat level possible following Donald Trump’s shock presidential election win
November 15, 2016
The Defcon Warning System, a private organisation which monitors world events and estimates the nuclear threat against America, is now at Level 5 – its lowest possible state.
Just weeks ago the warning was accelerated to Level 3 following increased tensions between US and Russia, with insiders fearing the West was creeping closer to nuclear war.
Level 3 means US troops could be mobilised in as little as 15 minutes.
But the group, made up of experts claiming to have contacts within the US security industry, have seen Donald Trump’s election win as a pacifier for Russian relations.
The group wrote on its website: “The United States took a tentative step toward a more isolationist policy with its recent presidential election.
“While it will take several months to see how the US reforms its foreign policy, already some world leaders have expressed hope that relations could improve, including Russia and Syria.
“If the new US President keeps to his previous statements, look for the United States to withdraw somewhat from military confrontations in the Middle East and possibly European theatre, though it is highly unlikely it will abandon NATO commitments, and the Ukraine will likely pop up again in the near future.
“Russia, however, will probably wait to see what the new President does, as well as now being hampered by the coming winter.”
Donald Trump’s election as president of America was welcomed by Vladimir Putin, leader of the US’ biggest rival Russia.
He said he hoped the pair would be able to work well together towards a more friendly relationship between the two superstates.
The group did warn, however, about some remaining threats to US and world security.
It said: “China and North Korea … continue to either cast a wary eye or are outright belligerent. Israel … will become more of a focal point again.
“Meanwhile, more troops are to be sent to Europe in 2017 to bolster defences against Russian movements and NATO continues building up forces in Poland and surrounding areas to protect against a potential Russian assault.”
While the US government also uses the Defcon system, it is private and not available to the public, so public records are estimates.
Level 5 means the US Department of Defence should be at its lowest state of readiness for nuclear war.
Robert Creamer visited Obama’s White House 340 times
October 19, 2016
The political consulting firm Democracy Partners is at the center of the Project Veritas investigation exposing Democrat operatives instigating violence at Trump rallies and plotting potential voter fraud.
Robert Creamer is the founder of Democracy Partners and a frequent visitor to the Obama White House. Logs show Creamer making 340 visits to the White House, with 45 of those meetings including President Obama.
Creamer’s meetings at the White House include two meetings with President Obama in March 2011 and June 2013 where the total number of people is listed as just two. Presumably, just Creamer and Obama.

Here are the 55 new entries:
1,250) A spokesperson for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton contradicted Clinton’s own statement about the 30,000 emails that Clinton had deleted from her private server
In March 2015, ABC News reported the following about the 30,000 emails that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had deleted from her private server:
“We went through a thorough process to identify all of my work-related emails and deliver them to the State Department,” she said, adding that all other emails were personal and pertained to matters such as “yoga routines,” “family vacations,” and “planning Chelsea’s wedding.”
In July 2016, Donald Trump said:
“I will tell you this — Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let’s see if that happens. That’ll be next. Yes, sir.”
Hillary for America senior policy adviser Jake Sullivan responded by saying:
“This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent… That’s not hyperbole, those are just the facts. This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue.”
So, which is it?
Are all of the emails private and not related to work?
Or, are they a matter of national security?
They can’t be both.
So which is it?
1,251) The “most transparent administration in history” illegally ignored a Freedom of Information request regarding Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s schedule
In 2015, Associated Press sued the Obama administration for illegally ignoring a Freedom of Information request regarding Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s schedule.
1,252) “Emails reveal how foundation donors got access to Clinton and her close aides at State Dept.”
In August 2016, the Washington Post reported:
Emails reveal how foundation donors got access to Clinton and her close aides at State Dept.
A sports executive who was a major donor to the Clinton Foundation and whose firm paid Bill Clinton millions of dollars in consulting fees wanted help getting a visa for a British soccer player with a criminal past.
The crown prince of Bahrain, whose government gave more than $50,000 to the Clintons’ charity and who participated in its glitzy annual conference, wanted a last-minute meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
U2 rocker and philanthropist Bono, also a regular at foundation events, wanted high-level help broadcasting a live link to the International Space Station during concerts.
In each case, according to emails released Monday from Hillary Clinton’s time as secretary of state, the requests were directed to Clinton’s deputy chief of staff and confidante, Huma Abedin, who engaged with other top aides and sometimes Clinton herself about how to respond.
1,253) The “most transparent administration in history” said it would not release the rest of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s schedule until after the November 2016 election
In August 2016, the Obama administration said that it would not release the rest of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s schedule until after the November 2016 election.
1,254) The “most transparent administration in history” waited seven months to tell the public that it had airlifted $400 million in cash to Iran
In August 2016, it was reported that seven months earlier, the Obama administration had secretly airlifted $400 million in cash to Iran.
1,255) The Obama administration lied about whether or not its payment of $400 million in cash to Iran was a ransom for releasing four American hostages
On August 2, 2016, the Obama administration said that the $400 million in cash that it had given to Iran in January 2016 had nothing to do with Iran releasing four American hostages.
However, on August 18, 2016, the Obama administration said that the payment was contingent on the hostages being released.
One of these two statements by the Obama administration must be a lie. I don’t even have to know which of the two statements is true, and which one is false, to know that one of them is a lie.
1,256) The “most transparent administration in history” refused to answer questions from Congress about how it paid an additional $1.3 billion to Iran
In August 2016, it twas reported that the Obama administration had paid $1.7 billion to Iran. Of that amount, $400 million was paid in cash as ransom for four U.S. hostages. However, the Obama administration refused to answer questions from Congress about how it paid the other $1.3 billion.
1,257) Commander-in-Chief Obama “killed entire families instead of ISIS fighters”
Obama is the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. military. In July 2016, the Washington Post reported:
An airstrike in Syria killed entire families instead of ISIS fighters
The airstrikes at dawn on Tuesday pulverized entire families, including young children — families that were fleeing Islamic State militants but were instead mistaken for being those very fighters. Depending on whom you ask, the number of bodies found in the rubble is 56, 85, 160 or 212. Pictures of the mangled bodies, covered in dust, are a testament to the carnage.
People who live near where the bombs fell — about 10 miles north of Manbij in northern Syria — said the only planes they’d seen since June were from a U.S.-led coalition battling the Islamic State.
At least 56 civilians were killed in this incident.
1,258) Obama engaged in the same kind of “unconscionable ineptitude” that he had previously accused Bush of engaging in

Furthermore, on August 11, 2016 – the very next day – the Obama administration announced that it would continue to classify marijuana as an illegal and dangerous Schedule 1 drug.
For the record, I think that marijuana, both recreational and medical, should be legal. I don’t have any problem with Obama’s daughter smoking marijuana. It’s President Obama’s hypocrisy that I have a problem with.

In August 2016, the New York Times reported:
Military Officials Distorted ISIS Intelligence, Congressional Panel Says
Officials from the United States Central Command altered intelligence reports to portray a more optimistic picture of the war against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria than events on the ground warranted, a congressional panel said in a report issued Thursday.
The interim report, from a task force established by the Republican chairmen of the House Armed Services Committee, Intelligence Committee and Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, found “widespread dissatisfaction” among Central Command intelligence analysts, who said superiors were doctoring their assessments of American efforts to defeat the Islamic State. Central Command, known as Centcom, is the military headquarters in Tampa, Fla., that oversees American military operations across the Middle East and Central Asia.
“Intelligence products approved by senior Centcom leaders typically provided a more positive depiction of U.S. antiterrorism efforts than was warranted by facts on the ground and were consistently more positive than analysis produced by other elements of the intelligence community,” a news release about the report said.
“What happened at Centcom is unacceptable — our war fighters suffer when bad analysis is presented to senior policy makers,” said Representative Ken Calvert, Republican of California. “The leadership failures at Centcom reach to the very top of the organization.”
“Throughout the first half of 2015, many Central Command press releases, statements and congressional testimonies were significantly more positive than actual events,” the report said.

A former Navy machinist mate who admitted taking photos inside a nuclear submarine was sentenced to a year in prison Friday, with a federal judge rebuffing a request for probation in light of authorities deciding not to prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information on a private email server as secretary of state.
Kristian Saucier’s attorneys argued in a court filing last week that Clinton had been “engaging in acts similar to Mr. Saucier” with information of much higher classification. It would be “unjust and unfair for Mr. Saucier to receive any sentence other than probation for a crime those more powerful than him will likely avoid,” attorney Derrick Hogan wrote.
U.S. District Judge Stefan Underhill sentenced Saucier to one year in prison and a $100 fine, along with six months home confinement, 100 hours of community service and a ban on owning guns, his legal team says.

Hillary State Dept. Helped Jailed Clinton Foundation Donor Get $10 Mil from U.S. for Failed Haiti Project
The new batch of emails showing that the State Department gave special access to top Clinton Foundation donors while Hillary Clinton was secretary of state brings to mind the case of a shady Miami businessman serving a 12-year prison sentence after scamming the government out of millions. His name is Claudio Osorio, a Clinton Foundation donor who got $10 million from the government after the Clinton State Department reportedly pulled some strings.
Osorio got the money from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), a federal agency that operates under the guidance of the State Department, to build houses in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. The OPIC supposedly promotes U.S. government investments abroad to foster the development and growth of free markets. Osorio’s “Haiti project” was supposed to build 500 homes for displaced families in the aftermath of the earthquake. The project never broke ground and Osorio used the money to finance his lavish lifestyle and fund his illicit business ventures. He also ran a fraudulent international company with facilities in the U.S., United Arab Emirates, Germany, Angola and Tanzania that stole millions from investors. Some of the OPIC Haiti money was used to repay investors of his fraudulent company (Innovida), according to federal prosecutors. In September 2013, Osorio was sentenced to 150 months imprisonment and three years of supervised release.
