The Three Investigators #15, 17, 21, and 23 are available for amazon Kindle

I loved this series of books when I was a child in the late 70s/early 80s. They’ve been out of print for a long time.

I don’t even own a Kindle, but I thought others might like to know about these being available for Kindle. I bought paper copies of these books at eBay many years ago, after having given away my originals as a teenager.

These are very smart books, and far more enjoyable than the Hardy Boys, in my opinion.

Oxford University Press bans pigs from children’s books, so here’s Porky Pig reciting the Pledge of Allegiance

Oxford University Press is the largest university press in the world.

The Telegraph reports:

The Oxford University Press has warned its writers not to mention pigs, sausages or pork-related words in children’s books, in an apparent bid to avoid offending Jews and Muslims.

Jews?

I’m Jewish, and I have neither been offended, nor heard of any Jew claiming to be offended, by pigs being mentioned in literature.

Ignoring history, Obama falsely claims that raising the capital gains tax yields higher tax revenue

The Washington Times recently reported:

Obama’s State of the Union speech to include $320B tax hike proposal

President wants capital gains rate, bank fees raised

President Obama will propose $320 billion in higher taxes in his State of the Union address, mostly by raising the rate on capital gains and closing tax loopholes for wealthier families, senior administration officials said Saturday.

Previewing Mr. Obama’s State of the Union address to Congress on Tuesday night, aides said the president will propose raising the top tax rate on capital gains to 28 percent, from the current 23.8 percent (20 percent, plus a 3.8 percent tax on unearned income to fund Obamacare) for individual taxpayers with an adjusted gross income of $200,000 or more.

Obama is ignoring the fact that in the real world, raising the capital gains tax in the past has resulted in lower tax revenues.

Poll: frat jerks cause $75,000 of damage to ski resort: should their parents be allowed to bail them out?

I’m no expert, but I think it’s going to cost a lot more than $75,000 to repair these damages. And that doesn’t even take into account the lost revenues from not being able to rent those rooms. The students who did this should be forced to pay for all of those costs, be expelled from the school, and have criminal charges filed against them.

I think their parents should be prohibited from paying for the damages. The students should have to work to pay for it.

Video/audio: Machete wielding intruder gets shot by homeowner. Obama thinks this act of self defense should be illegal.

The Idaho State Journal News recently put up this video at YouTube. A guy with a machete breaks down an apartment door (which looks like it’s made of cardboard), despite the fact that the guy in the apartment had already warned the intruder that he had a gun. After the intruder enters the apartment with a machete, the homeowner shoots him three times. The Idaho State Journal News then blanks the video, but you can hear the intruder screaming in agony for a long time, the homeowner telling him to stay down because he doesn’t want to have to kill him, and the homeowner saying that he called an ambulance.

When Obama was an Illinois state Senator, he voted against allowing people in their own homes to use guns to protect themselves and their families from machete wielding scumbags such as this. Many of the people who voted for Obama for President agree with his anti-self defense position. On January 10, 2013, President Obama signed a bill that provides armed guards to himself and his wife for the rest of the lives, which makes Obama a gun control hypocrite.

The guy who got shot was a white guy, so Obama won’t be defending him or launching a federal investigation, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton won’t be defending him, and there won’t be any protests, looting, smashing of windows, burning down of businesses, or blocking of traffic in response to this incident.

Here’s the video from the The Idaho State Journal News channel at YouTube, and an article from the The Idaho State Journal News:

Pocatello man who was shot while breaking into neighbors’ apartments to threaten them with machete is sentenced

January 15, 2015

POCATELLO — Twain Thomas was sentenced to a prison term of five years fixed and 10 years indeterminate for attempted murder and five years fixed for aggravated assault Thursday.

Thomas was also ordered to pay $1,200.

Before imposing the sentence, Sixth District Judge Robert Naftz said he believed there was hope for Thomas, who pleaded guilty to the charges in November as part of a plea agreement.

“I have to impose a sentence that protects society and includes punishment,” Naftz said.

Last February, Thomas broke into the apartments of two of his neighbors on 200 block of South Garfield in Pocatello wielding a large machete. He was shot three times in the chest by James Cvengros after Thomas battered his way through the door.

Cvengros video recorded the event and the court got a chance to view the footage Thursday.

After Thomas busted out windows in his own upstairs apartment, he then broke into another second floor apartment. The audio on the video clip captures that resident screaming at Thomas to get out. The woman managed to chase Thomas out of the apartment and that’s when he went downstairs to the Cvengros apartment.

As he beat on the door, Cvengros told Thomas to leave. As Thomas broke through the door, Cvengros warned him that he was armed, but Thomas kept coming. That’s when Cvengros fired three shots in rapid succession.

The video view ends at that point, but the audio continues, and Thomas can be heard moaning as Cvengros tells him to stay down.

Cvengros said it was the second time that Thomas had broken into his apartment. The suspect kicked the door in months earlier because the music was too loud. That incident led Cvengros to buy the weapon he used to stop Thomas.

Thomas apologized to his victims Thursday.

“I know they were terrified,” Thomas said.

Dave Martinez represented Thomas in the case and he noted that the suspect survived a violent childhood and suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. Thomas also sustained traumatic brain injury from a vehicle accident as a teenager.

Martinez added that Thomas, a military veteran, had no previous history of violence.

Bannock County Deputy Zach Parris said the crime was of particular concern as it affected two households, and he said that Thomas would also be able to seek help in prison.

Martinez had asked that the court retain jurisdiction and sentence Thomas to psychiatric facility for treatment.

Following the hearing, Cvengros said he would have liked to see Thomas sentenced to a longer prison term for threatening his life.

Cvengros’s girlfriend, Kaila Gerhart, was at the residence when the shooting occurred. And she said that she still has nightmares about the incident.

“The trial kind of brought it all back up again,” Gerhart said.

Despite having killed someone less than a month ago, “Black Lives Matter” protestors continue to block ambulances

This is really despicable.

Less than a month after a man died because “Black Lives Matter” protestors blocked an ambulance in Berkeley, “Black Lives Matter” protestors just blocked an ambulance in Boston.

The Boston Globe reports:

Protesters snarl morning commute on I-93 near Boston

Protesters affiliated with the activist group Black Lives Matter carried out their most audacious and disruptive demonstration yet in the Boston area Thursday, blocking the largest highway into the city, snarling rush-hour traffic, and stopping an ambulance in its tracks.

In a pair of coordinated surprise actions that angered commuters, the protesters formed human barricades on Interstate 93 north of the city in Medford, and south, in Milton. Some put barrels filled with concrete on the highway and chained themselves to them. Twenty-nine protesters were arrested.

Blocking traffic is not going to convert anyone to their point of view.

On the contrary, it makes them look ridiculous.

And if they are trying to prove that “black lives matter,” then blocking ambulances is an especially dumb thing to do. I guess it never occurred to them that the patient in the ambulance might be black. Or perhaps it did occur to them, but they just don’t care.

I wonder how many black people were late for work because of these protestors.

I wonder how many black people missed a job interview because of these protestors.

I wonder how many black college students missed an exam because of these protestors.

To any decent human being, black lives do indeed matter. But if black lives truly mattered to these protestors, they would not be preventing black people from getting to the hospital, to work, to job interviews, or to school. Instead, they would be doing something constructive – something positive and beneficial – that actually helped black people, instead of hurting them.

Obama wants to change the tax code to punish families with a stay-at-home parent

The Hill recently reported:

… the president is proposing a new $500 second-earner credit to help cover the additional costs, such as commuting, of families with two working spouses. That plan is expected to benefit 24 million couples, the White House said.

Another proposal would streamline and expand childcare tax benefits, providing up to $3,000 per child under age 5, helping 5.1 million families that make up to $210,000 a year and cover costs for 6.7 million children.

A real tax cut means that marginal tax rates are cut, and people can spend that money however they want.

But that’s not what Obama wants.

Instead, Obama wants to use the tax code to reward people who put their children into day care, and to punish families with a stay-at-home parent.

If you want this tax cut, you will have to behave in the specific way that Obama wants you to behave.

If your lifestyle is different than the way that Obama wants you to live, then you will not get a tax cut.

Shame on my fellow Jews for holding up commercial flights by refusing to sit next to women!

I’m Jewish, and please allow me to say that it’s absurd that some Jewish men have caused commercial flights to be delayed by refusing to sit next to female passengers.

In September 2014, the New York Post reported:

Ultra-Orthodox Jews refuse to sit next to women, delay flight

Hundreds of Ultra-Orthodox Jewish men refused to sit next to women on an El Al jet from New York to Israel — and spent the 11-hour flight trying to bribe people to switch seats and loudly praying in the aisles when they refused.

“It was an 11-hour long nightmare,” one of the passengers told Israel’s ynet news Web site after the Wednesday morning flight landed.

The flight – on the eve of Rosh Hashanah – was not only delayed, but degenerated into chaos once in the air, passengers said.

“Although everyone had tickets with seat numbers that they purchased in advance, they asked us to trade seats with them, and even offered to pay money, since they cannot sit next to a woman. It was obvious that the plane won’t take off as long as they keep standing in the aisles,” said passenger Amit Ben-Natan, a passenger.

In December 2014, the Daily Mail reported:

Delta Airlines flight from New York’s JFK Airport delayed after ultra-Orthodox Jewish passengers refuse to sit next to women

A Delta Airlines flight from New York’s JFK Airport to Israel was delayed by half an hour when a group of ultra-Orthodox Jewish men refused to sit next to female passengers.

Delta Flight 468, bound for Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, was reportedly held up due to several Haredi passengers refusing to to sit in their assigned seats, which were in between two women.

The behavior by these so-called “men,” and the disrespect that they showed to women in a public setting, is inexcusable.

Yes, when you’re at your synagogue, or in other areas where everyone agrees with and is accepting of your religious views, it’s OK not to sit next to women.

But when you are in a public accommodation, where not everyone shares your religious point of view, you have no right to force your religious beliefs on to other people. It is up to you, not other people, to be the flexible one. It is your responsibility, not that of other people, to adapt your behavior .

And if you don’t like the rules on the airplane, then don’t buy a ticket.

Or, buy an entire row of tickets.

But don’t force other people to alter their behavior to accommodate your religious beliefs.

Paris terror attacks: Muslim worker at Jewish store hid customers in cold store

Photo of Lassana Bathily goes viral on Twitter as he is praised for saving lives with his quick thinking at Kosher supermarket

Lassana Bathily (in above photo), 24, originally from Mali in west Africa, ushered customers into the cold store at the Hyper Cacher supermarket in Porte de Vincennes

A Muslim shop assistant has been hailed a hero after saving at least six people by hiding them in a walk-in freezer at the Jewish grocery store where an Islamist gunmen made his final stand.

Lassana Bathily, 24, originally from Mali in west Africa, ushered customers into the cold store at the Hyper Cacher supermarket in Porte de Vincennes on Friday, where Ahmedi Couibaly had taken a number of people hostage.

The siege ended when police raided the shop, shooting him dead. Four hostages also died.

However, the toll might have been much worse were it not for the quick thinking of Mr Bathily.

“I went down to the freezer, I opened the door, there were several people who went in with me. I turned off the light and the freezer,” he told the French TV station BFMTV.

“I brought them inside and I told them to stay calm here, I’m going to go out. When they got out, they thanked me.”

He slipped away using a goods lift and was able to provide police with valuable information about what has happening inside the store.

The terrified customers were also able to telephone police from their hiding place in the basement.

An image of Mr Bathily is trending on Twitter, labelled Malian Muslim, shared as a symbol of the people united against terrorism.

Johan Dorre, a father of four, was shopping when the attack happened. He was able to telephone relatives and relay messages.

Jacob Katorza, his uncle, told The Daily Mail: “Johan and the others were terrified that they would be discovered by the terrorists and were forced to huddle together like frightened animals to avoid hypothermia.”

Jewish community members held a vigil on Saturday for the four victims.

France has western Europe’s largest Jewish and Muslim populations, which have seen increasing tensions in recent months.

Venezuelan military tells supermarket customers not to take pictures of empty shelves

The Venezuelan military has troops stationed in supermarkets, and they are telling customers not to take pictures of empty shelves. But that hasn’t stopped people from doing it. During the first week of 2015, the Twitter hashtag #AnaquelesVaciosEnVenezuela (“Empty shelves in Venezuela”) listed more than 200,000 tweets.

Islamic terrorists just murdered as many as 2,000 people in Nigeria

This is very sad – magnitudes worse than what recently happened in France:

Amnesty: Nigeria massacre deadliest in history of Boko Haram

January 9, 2014

YOLA, Nigeria — Hundreds of bodies — too many to count — remain strewn in the bush in Nigeria from an Islamic extremist attack that Amnesty International suggested Friday is the “deadliest massacre” in the history of Boko Haram.

Mike Omeri, the government spokesman on the insurgency, said fighting continued Friday for Baga, a town on the border with Chad where insurgents seized a key military base on Jan. 3 and attacked again on Wednesday.

“Security forces have responded rapidly, and have deployed significant military assets and conducted airstrikes against militant targets,” Omeri said in a statement.

District head Baba Abba Hassan said most victims are children, women and elderly people who could not run fast enough when insurgents drove into Baga, firing rocket-propelled grenades and assault rifles on town residents.

“The human carnage perpetrated by Boko Haram terrorists in Baga was enormous,” Muhammad Abba Gava, a spokesman for poorly armed civilians in a defense group that fights Boko Haram, told The Associated Press.

He said the civilian fighters gave up on trying to count all the bodies. “No one could attend to the corpses and even the seriously injured ones who may have died by now,” Gava said.

An Amnesty International statement said there are reports the town was razed and as many as 2,000 people killed.

If true, “this marks a disturbing and bloody escalation of Boko Haram’s ongoing onslaught,” said Daniel Eyre, Nigeria researcher for Amnesty International.

The previous bloodiest day in the uprising involved soldiers gunning down unarmed detainees freed in a March 14, 2014, attack on Giwa military barracks in Maiduguri city. Amnesty said then that satellite imagery indicated more than 600 people were killed that day.

The 5-year insurgency killed more than 10,000 people last year alone, according to the Washington-based Council on Foreign Relations. More than a million people are displaced inside Nigeria and hundreds of thousands have fled across its borders into Chad, Cameroon and Nigeria.

Emergency workers said this week they are having a hard time coping with scores of children separated from their parents in the chaos of Boko Haram’s increasingly frequent and deadly attacks.

Just seven children have been reunited with parents in Yola, capital of Adamawa state, where about 140 others have no idea if their families are alive or dead, said Sa’ad Bello, the coordinator of five refugee camps in Yola.

He said he was optimistic that more reunions will come as residents return to towns that the military has retaken from extremists in recent weeks.

Suleiman Dauda, 12, said he ran into the bushes with neighbors when extremists attacked his village, Askira Uba, near Yola last year.

“I saw them kill my father, they slaughtered him like a ram. And up until now I don’t know where my mother is,” he told The Associated Press at Daware refugee camp in Yola.

Islamic terrorism, gun control, and Barack Obama – three enemies of freedom

Here’s an example of political correctness gone way too far.

In the recent Islamic terrorist attack in France where 12 people were shot and killed by Islamic terrorists with with AK-47s, the police who were sent to stop them were unable to do so, because they were unarmed.

France’s extensive gun control laws did not stop the bad guys from getting guns. But the country’s extreme anti-gun mentality did prevent the police – the police of all people – from having guns.

Emails prove that the Obama administration pressured CBS News to stop airing reports by Sharyl Attkisson

On October 3, 2011, CBS News aired a story by Sharyl Attkisson which showed that Attorney General Eric Holder had lied under oath regarding Fast and Furious. Here is that report:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JaDEShZIvQ

On October 4, 2011, Holder’s top press aide, Tracy Schmaler, wrote the following in an email to White House Deputy Press Sectary Eric Schultz:

“I’m also calling Sharryl’s [sic] editor and reaching out to Scheiffer. She’s out of control.”

Schultz responded with an email that said:

“Good. Her piece was really bad for the AG.”

Afterward, CBS made it harder and harder for Attkisson to do reports on Fast and Furious, and she eventually quit her job at CBS.

Good news for liberals who think it’s wrong for police to shoot violent thugs!

This is good news for liberals who think it’s wrong for the police to shoot violent thugs, because the police officer did not shoot the thug who was attacking him.

If the officer had shot him, liberals would be protesting against him for shooting an unarmed man.

The Dallas Morning News reports:

… a 26-year-old Florida man beat an officer…

… the officer suffered multiple cuts and bruises and showed signs of a brain injury.

Liberals who oppose police shooting violent thugs must be very happy about this.

They won’t be protesting against this police officer.

They won’t be smashing windows over his actions.

They won’t be looting over what he did.

They won’t be burning down businesses because of what he did.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson won’t be upset at this police officer.

Barack Obama and Eric Holder won’t be using the Justice Department to launch an investigation into this police officer’s actions.

Liberals who think it’s wrong for police to shoot violent thugs will be very happy at the outcome of this incident.

Harvard faculty members who supported the passage of Obamacare are now complaining that they have to pay for it

This is hilarious!

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/06/us/health-care-fixes-backed-by-harvards-experts-now-roil-its-faculty.html?smid=tw-nytimes&_r=2

January 5, 2015

For years, Harvard’s experts on health economics and policy have advised presidents and Congress on how to provide health benefits to the nation at a reasonable cost. But those remedies will now be applied to the Harvard faculty, and the professors are in an uproar.

Members of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the heart of the 378-year-old university, voted overwhelmingly in November to oppose changes that would require them and thousands of other Harvard employees to pay more for health care. The university says the increases are in part a result of the Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act, which many Harvard professors championed.

The faculty vote came too late to stop the cost increases from taking effect this month, and the anger on campus remains focused on questions that are agitating many workplaces: How should the burden of health costs be shared by employers and employees? If employees have to bear more of the cost, will they skimp on medically necessary care, curtail the use of less valuable services, or both?

In Harvard’s health care enrollment guide for 2015, the university said it “must respond to the national trend of rising health care costs, including some driven by health care reform,” in the form of the Affordable Care Act. The guide said that Harvard faced “added costs” because of provisions in the health care law that extend coverage for children up to age 26, offer free preventive services like mammograms and colonoscopies and, starting in 2018, add a tax on high-cost insurance, known as the Cadillac tax.

Richard F. Thomas, a Harvard professor of classics and one of the world’s leading authorities on Virgil, called the changes “deplorable, deeply regressive, a sign of the corporatization of the university.”

Mary D. Lewis, a professor who specializes in the history of modern France and has led opposition to the benefit changes, said they were tantamount to a pay cut. “Moreover,” she said, “this pay cut will be timed to come at precisely the moment when you are sick, stressed or facing the challenges of being a new parent.”

Jerry R. Green, a professor of economics and a former provost who has been on the Harvard faculty for more than four decades, said the new out-of-pocket costs could lead people to defer medical care or diagnostic tests, causing more serious illnesses and costly complications in the future.

“It’s equivalent to taxing the sick,” Professor Green said. “I don’t think there’s any government in the world that would tax the sick.”

“It seems that Harvard is trying to save money by shifting costs to sick people,” said Mary C. Waters, a professor of sociology. “I don’t understand why a university with Harvard’s incredible resources would do this. What is the crisis?”

Woman says the burglar who shot her is a “victim of society”

This lady is an idiot:

http://www.sfgate.com/crime/article/Rising-Oakland-home-invasions-rob-victims-of-5992433.php

January 4, 2015

Beverley Concannon was in the bathroom of her home in Oakland’s Dimond neighborhood when she heard two loud bangs. She realized someone was kicking in her front door.

She called police, then walked into the hall and came face-to-face with a stranger. Within moments, she felt a piercing blow to her left shoulder. She had been shot by one of four young men who then fled with her laptop, driving away in a Toyota Camry that had been stolen from an Oakland hills home three days earlier.

Two men and two teenage brothers who allegedly broke into Concannon’s home were later arrested and are suspected of committing a string of such invasions in the East Bay over a two-week period, authorities say. They have ties to East Oakland and allegedly targeted wealthier neighborhoods in the Berkeley and Oakland hills and in Piedmont.

In a recent interview, Concannon, 82, said she believed her attackers had no idea she was inside until they saw her.

“I believe it was total shock,” she said.

Yet instead of leaving, the men shot her.

Concannon, a retired instructor who taught French and Spanish at a Marin County high school, spoke philosophically of the suspects, calling them “victims of a society that has gone astray and has been for a long time. They are victims of history, and they have also been cooped up in a ghetto, and I think the basic problem is one of de facto segregation.”

Almost a year after being shot, Concannon hasn’t moved from her home, but her left arm and shoulder are still numb and she is scared by loud noises. She has replaced her front door with a stronger one and added other security measures.

She said arresting robbers was important in the short term, but that the real solutions were societal.

“People have these kinds of automatic responses to (how to reduce crime), but it takes a lot of deep thought and action on the part of everybody — and I don’t know what that is,” she said. “What’s happening is not good.”

Here’s a way the police can avoid being accused of racial profiling

Solving the Police Problem

If They Don’t Want to be Policed, Don’t Police Them

December 31, 2014

It is obvious, is it not, that all of the recent problems with the police have occurred because cops keep meddling with people. If the fuzz had left Rodney King alone, Los Angeles would not have burned. If the cop in Ferguson had not stopped Michael Brown after he robbed the store, the town would not have burned. If a New York cop had not tried to keep from selling illegal cigarettes, there would be no protests. If OJ Simpson had not been prosecuted for murdering his wife, racial tension would have been less. On and on.

It is blindingly clear that nothing but trouble results when cops interact with criminals in places of high diversity. It makes no sense to meddle. It is racism. It is irresponsible. It leads to arson. It needs to stop.

And it can.

If you were a young white cop just out of the academy, and asked my advice, I would say, “When on the street, mind your own business.” For example, if you see a drug dealer on the corner peddling rock, what should you do? Nothing. Doing nothing protects you, protects the dealer, and keeps the locals from burning the neighborhood. As a police officer, it is your duty to protect.

Do nothing. Here’s why: Let us suppose that the dealer is young, weighs 290 and, when you try to arrest him, says, “Fuck off, whitey.” You are 35, 180, and haven’t been to the gym for a while. What can you do?

You could call for backup and five of you could swarm the guy, but that looks bad to the population. (“Dem white muhfuhs be gangin’ up on a brotha.”) Your other choices are try to wrestle him down, pepper-spray him, Tase him, club him, or shoot him. All of these are ugly to watch and upset the locals.

All have a chance of ending unhappily. The perp has asthma and the pepper spray does him in, or has a weak heart and the Taser croaks him.

Then here come Jesse and Al, Barack and Eric, the Four Horsemen of the Acopalypse. You will be raped in the media, lose your job and your mortgage, goodbye retirement, and face six months of media circus, death threats against your family, civil suits by the family and civil-rights charges by the feds.

Don’t risk it. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose. Leave drug peddlers alone. Don’t get involved.

Nonintervention, note, will please everybody. If your department really is brutal, as all are said to be, you can’t be brutal if you leave people alone. Complaints about misbehavior will diminish, pleasing blacks and liberals, and this will make your chief happy.

When you go on the street as a rookie, you will find that police incidents fall into three categories.

First, things that you encounter by chance: crack whores, bar fights, drug dealers, muggings, burglaries, the fifteen-year-old runaway being worked by her pimp, the guy breaking car windows to steal the GPS. These are the small change of police life. Ignore them. You can later say that you didn’t see anything. It is much harder for the feds to come after you for something you didn’t do than for something you did. Again, you have nothing to gain by interfering with local enterprise.

Second, hot calls: rape in progress, armed robbery in progress. You have to answer these because dispatchers record their radio traffic. They are, however, calls dangerous to you. For example, rapists often have violent tendencies. They usually do not want to go to jail. A rapist may attack you with a length of rebar, in which case your choices are to shoot him or have your skull crushed. How do you profit from either of these outcomes?

The armed robbery offers equal hazards with no rewards. Armed robbers typically are armed. In a shootout you very possibly get killed, which is not to your advantage, or the perp does. It then turns out that he was sixteen, wanted to go to divinity school, the gun was plastic or a cell phone. Brutality, extremism, overreaction, profiling, black lives matter, and here come the Four Horsemen.

But a wise cop can easily avoid these perils. Rapes don’t last long, nor do armed robberies. When you respond to the call, drive at the speed limit, stop for traffic lights, and hit the siren and bar lights well before you arrive at the scene. When you get there, the rapist will be long gone.

This is a happy ending for everyone. You are happy because you will not be charged with racially motivated murder. The rapist is happy because he will not go to jail. Businesses are happy because they won’t be looted, the locals because a brothah was not mistreated.

Be very careful of profiling beefs. Since this sin is not defined, you can never tell when you have committed it. Suppose you encounter a 2015 Beamer with the passenger-side window broken out, plates with rust stains around the bolt holes, and a nineteen-year-old driver in ghetto-bag attire who refuses to make eye contact. What do you do?

Nothing. It would be profiling. (If you saw him run out of a bank with a gun in one hand and a bag of money it the, and arrested him, it would be profiling.) Don’t risk it. The locals will appreciate your sensitivity.

Technical tip: Don’t run the tags out of curiosity. They will come back to a 2006 Camry, and you will be on electronic record as knowing the car was stolen and not doing anything about it. It isn’t your problem. The insurance company can handle it.

If you are of liberal leanings, you can think in terms of cost and benefit. Is an $80 GPS worth a man’s life? Should a rapist die because of ten minutes of bad sex? Ferguson burn over a handful of stolen cigars?

In black neighborhoods, you should do nothing at all in response to anything. This just shows a decent respect for the desires of the population, who do not like white cops, or any cops. (Chanting “What do we want? Dead cops”, would seem indicative.) Find a good bar or doughnut shop. Stay in it.

In mixed regions, arrest only middle-class whites over forty-five to avoid profiling. As for the neighborhoods of rich white liberals, they do not need police because they live in gated communities, so you probably will never be assigned there.

It is simple democracy. In regions that are almost entirely diverse, people do not want to be policed. It is unmistakable. Why force outside cops on them? It leads to chaos, arson, and armored shoe-stores. Should they not be allowed to police themselves as they choose, to the extent they choose, as towns once did? Live and let live. It is the American way.

New Jersey public school forces student to get psychological evaluation, blood test, urine test, and to strip, because he twirled a pencil. The state threatened to take him away from his father.

Ethan Chaplin, Student, Says He Was Suspended For Twirling Pencil

April 7, 2014

Was it a twirling pencil or something more sinister?

That’s the question that hovers over the story of Ethan Chaplin, a Vernon, N.J. seventh-grader who, last week, was told he could return to Glen Meadow Middle School only after he received a psychological evaluation.

According to News 12, Chaplin said he was sitting in class, spinning a pencil with a pen cap on top when a fellow student told his teacher, “He’s making gun motions, send him to juvie.”

After the incident, Chaplin’s dad, Michael, said his son was effectively suspended pending a psychological examination, which the middle schooler passed.

The school tells a different story.

Vernon Schools Superintendent Charles Maranzano told HuffPost he couldn’t discuss the specific incident because of privacy laws, but he did say “no school in the state of New Jersey or nationally would leap to a school suspension for twirling a pencil. That’s not what the basis of our actions are.”

Instead, Maranzano said the student was not suspended, but was told he could return as soon as a doctor completed a psychological evaluation and determined the student posed no threat to himself or others.

“Our actions are always based on what’s best for the health safety and welfare of all the students,” Maranzano said. “We’re responsible for their mental and physical health and safety and security. When a student misbehaves or displays actions that are non-conforming or don’t meet our expectations, it causes us some concerns.”

Maranzano also said, in the wake of several deadly shootings, schools are being especially careful.

“I don’t want to be the one who failed to act when there were warning signs being demonstrated or displayed,” Maranzano said.

Michael Chaplin told InfoWars about what his son had to undergo during the psychological evaluation.

“The child was stripped, had to give blood samples (which caused him to pass out) and urine samples for of all things drug testing,” Michael Chaplin said. “Then four hours later a social worker spoke to him for five minutes and cleared him. Then an actual doctor came in and said the state was 100 percent incorrect in their procedure and this would not get him back in school.”

Maranzano said Chaplin is back in school.

Dad: NJ threatens to take away son after pencil-twirling incident

June 10, 2014

VERNON, N.J. (PIX11) –  A 13-year-old boy was the most famous kid in school for a few weeks.

A simple pencil-twirling incident landed Ethan Chaplin in hot water with his school, which threatened to suspend him after a classmate claimed he was spinning the writing utensil like a gun.

After media attention from PIX11 and around the world, school officials backed off — but child protection agencies did not.

Letters to Ethan’s father, Michael, show the school found his son did nothing wrong at all, and that there would be no disciplinary action.  The superintendent was even confident the issue would be behind all of them.

And that’s exactly what happened, until Ethan’s father received startling communication from New Jersey’s Department of Child Protection and Permanency and Department of Children and Families.

“I received a letter from them saying they had found an incident of abuse or neglect regarding Ethan because I refused to take him for psychological evaluation,” Michael said.

In an effort to play along and clear his name, Michael agreed to take his son for an evaluation.

Ethan was seen by a social worker, and had his blood drawn and urine taken.  In the end, no behavioral problem was found.

The state, it seems, is ignoring that set of testing, demanding further evaluation and threatening that if Michael doesn’t comply, they are will terminate his parental rights and free Ethan up for adoption.

“All I can do is keep fighting, keep telling the truth and (keep) presenting the evidence. That is all I can do and hopefully the state does the right thing,” Michael said.

He has even reached out to Governor Chris Christie’s office, who replied they would contact the Dept. of Children and Families to investigate.

“…I’m scared because they have a habit of running away with things unchecked and that’s exactly what’s going on,” Michael said.

PIX11 tried to get a comment from DCPP and NJ Department of Children and Families but received no answers.

The agency told PIX11 they can’t discuss the allegations or even acknowledge they have involvement with the family.
