Berkeley Man Dies After Pro-Michael Brown Protesters Delay Paramedics

December 23, 2014

A Berkeley man has died thanks to protesters who claim they are protesting against unnecessary deaths.

The man, who lived in a Kittredge Street apartment complex, collapsed several days ago while protests were going on in the streets around his home.

Paramedics attempted to rush to his aid, but were slowed and sometimes stopped by protesters. The protesters were demonstrating in favor of Michael Brown, an African American teen who was shot and killed after he assaulted and charged at a white police officer.

The protesters claimed they were in the streets to bring attention to unnecessary deaths caused by rash behavior.

The Berkeley man was eventually reached by paramedics and rushed to the hospital, but he passed away there. His death was likely preventable, but help arrived too late because of protesters.

“Anytime there is a delay it causes us concern,” said Berkeley Fire Chief Gil Dong. “Our objective is to get there rapidly so we can start treating the patient.” He was not able to comment further because of privacy laws.

Separately, a staffer stated that “no one could get to” the man in need, who was experiencing shortness of breath, “difficulty breathing, and sweating.”

When the delayed paramedics arrived, the man was already unconscious.

Black lives matter – except for the 93% of black murder victims who are killed by other blacks

Trayvon Martin.

Michael Brown.

Eric Garner.

John Crawford.

Tamir Rice.

Akai Gurley.

All of them were unarmed, young black males who were killed by someone who was not black.

Vermont Democrats chicken out and abandon their plan for single payer health care

In this previous post, I wrote: (the bolding is new, and was not in my original post)

Vermont plans to start single payer health care in 2017

April 27, 2014

Vermont is planning to start a single payer health care system in 2017.

I support states’ rights, and I don’t live in Vermont, so I don’t have anything against Vermont doing this.

I view this the way a scientist views an experiment. I’m curious to see how it turns out.

Will Vermont stick to its plan, or will they chicken out?

Will the federal government allow it to happen, or try to block it?

Will patients’ access to health care get better, worse, or stay the same?

Will the number of doctors per person in Vermont get bigger, smaller, or stay the same?

Will costs go up, down, or stay the same?

Will politicians, celebrities, and rich people participate in it, or will they find some way to get exemptions?

Only time will tell. And I am quite curious to find out.

Unfortunately, that bolded part has come true.

Associated Press has just reported:

Governor abandons single-payer health care plan

December 17, 2014

Calling it the biggest disappointment of his career, Gov. Peter Shumlin said Wednesday he was abandoning plans to make Vermont the first state in the country with a universal, publicly funded health care system.

Going forward with a project four years in the making would require tax increases too big for the state to absorb, Shumlin said. The measure had been the centerpiece of the Democratic governor’s agenda and was watched and rooted for by single-payer health care supporters around the country.

Legislation Shumlin signed in 2011 put the state on a path to move beyond the federal Affordable Care Act by 2017 to a health care system more similar to that in neighboring Canada. Shumlin adopted the mantra that access to quality health care should be “a right and not a privilege.”

Vermont’s Democrats supported single payer health care in theory. But as the reality of the plan got closer and closer, they eventually admitted that they did not really want such a plan.

That explains why a plan that was passed in 2011 was not set to take effect until 2017. It gave Vermont’s Democrats bragging rights, so they could say they supported single payer health care. But as the 2017 deadline for actually adopting the plan got closer and closer, their bluff was revealed. They did not really support single payer health care. Instead, they just wanted to say they supported single payer health care.

Their supposed excuse for abandoning their plan was that they just found out that it would require higher taxes. Do they really expect us to believe that they were unaware of this in 2011, when they passed the plan? How dumb do they think we are?

Vermont’s Democrats are liars, and they are cowards.

To the Vermont Democrats who claim to be shocked at the fact that adopting single payer health care would require higher taxes, I post the following scene from the movie Casablanca:

White liberal protester to black cop: you don’t understand racism

In the video below, despite the fact that the black police officer tells the liberal protestor that he grew up in Jackson Mississippi where blacks and whites had separate bathrooms, and blacks had to sit in the back of the bus, the liberal protestor tells him that he does not understand racism.

At 1:24, the protestor says:

“You are a black man. You are kept down by your race even if you won’t accept it. It is a fact of your life.”

At 1:59 the protestor says:

“You’re a black man. You will never reach the same pinnacle as a white man in this system because you are black.”

Both of her comments sound horribly mean and condescending.

Also, while saying both of these things, the protestor sounds like she is angry at the police officer. She seems to be mad at him because what he says is the opposite of the politically correct things that she thinks all black people are supposed to say. She seem to have tremendous difficulty in dealing with the fact that black people have diversity in their opinions.

The police officer then goes on to say that he does volunteer work to help children of “my community,” which he says includes all races. The protestor then criticizes him because he considers his “community” to include all races, and she says that he should focus on helping the “black community” instead.

The protestor says she is a  U.C.L.A. student and her conversation with him is part of her research. But a legitimate researcher would never argue with the subject whom she is researching. Her so-called “research” is really just an attempt to “prove” that her pre-conceived notions are true, and she is not willing to accept any evidence to the contrary. The real world experience of this black police officer does not conform to the protestor’s theories, and so she has a tremendous amount of difficulty with accepting what he is saying.

As far as her claim that a black man “will never reach the same pinnacle as a white man in this system,” I wonder how she would explain that Barack Obama, a black man, is the most powerful person in the world.

Washington Post: “I’m an Obama supporter. But Obamacare has hurt my family. Obamacare has been far more frustrating than I’d ever dreamed.”

The Washington Post recently wrote:

I’m an Obama supporter. But Obamacare has hurt my family.

Obamacare has been far more frustrating than I’d ever dreamed.

By Catherine Keefe

December 10, 2014

Obamacare brought us new health insurance options, but cost us our more affordable plans.

In November 2013, Jim learned his small-business policy would be canceled because it didn’t comply with the new mandate to cover pediatric dentistry and maternity care.

The individual plan I had with Blue Cross was canceled, too.

We learned patience, but we couldn’t keep our doctors.

We had applied online and sent copies of our passports to California Covered for verification, but we received no bill, no confirmation of our coverage, no insurance cards. Jim spent an hour and a half on hold once before getting disconnected. He tried again the next day, waiting another two hours before getting disconnected.

… the urologist wouldn’t accept our new Blue Shield plan – even though the Blue Shield website said he did.

We have no choice to opt out of the required pediatric dentistry or maternity coverage we’ll never use…

Attention Dr. Blake Armstrong of South Texas College: here’s why your comparison of the Tea Party to the Nazis is inaccurate

The Blaze recently reported:

Prof. Tells Students Not to ‘Tell Anybody’ About His Vexed Tea Party ‘Analogy’ — He Didn’t Know It Was Already Caught on Video

Dec. 8, 2014

A psychology professor at South Texas College in Weslaco, Texas, was seemingly caught on video last month comparing the tea party to the Nazis of the 1930s in Germany.

He then told his students not to “tell anybody” about his remarks — but one of his students had already started filming after he allegedly called Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) a “bastard” for using the name “Cruz” to win his election.

“In 1931, which was really interesting, the Nazis — people were kind of tired of them. They’ve been around since 1920, 11 years now. They’ve won seats — they’re like the tea party! That’s such a good example,” the professor said. “Don’t tell anybody I said that though.”

He continued: “But in the sense of how they politically came to power, there’s a good analogy there. That eventually people realized, ‘Oh, these Nazis are a bunch of nuts,’ ‘These tea party people are a bunch of nuts.’ I mean, the analogy really is a good analogy.”

The student responsible for recording the comments, who asked to remain anonymous, identified the professor as Dr. Blake Armstrong. The video was recorded during a Nov. 17 class and uploaded on YouTube the same day.

The student told TheBlaze he recorded his professor because he feels strongly that “it’s wrong for him to use his position as a soap box for his beliefs, especially with young, impressionable students.”

“This semester, [Dr. Armstrong] insulted Republicans about three times before this video was recorded,” he added. On this day, he called Sen. Ted Cruz a bastard for using the last name Cruz to win his election. I didn’t know exactly what he meant, but I decided to start recording.”

While the student said Armstrong’s Nazi-tea party reference is the most “severe” rhetoric he’s heard in the class so far, he argued “it’s very easy to see that he has a vendetta against Republicans and religion with an emphasis on Christianity.”

Here’s the video:

Dr. Armstrong, if you are reading this, I would like to explain why your comparison of the Tea Party to the Nazi is inaccurate.

In the 1920s and 1930s, Germany was considered to be one of the most civilized and most advanced countries in the world. At the time, no one thought that a genocide could have been possible in Germany.

But then in 1938, Adolf Hitler confiscated all the guns from the Jews.

Hitler explained his action with the following:

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing.”

By comparison, the Tea Party believes that everyone – including Jews – has the right to own guns.

The Nazis supported bigger government in every area of life. They supported wage and price controls. They supported having the government tell businesses what to produce and how much of it to produce. They supported strong federal involvement in health care and education.

By comparison, the Tea Party is against all of these things.

In 2004, when Barack Obama was an Illinois state Senator, he voted against allowing people in their own homes to use guns to protect themselves and their families from rapists and murderers. Hitler agreed with Obama on this issue, at least as far as Jews are concerned. Dr. Armstrong, did you vote for Obama when he ran for President?

Here are some other things that Obama has done, which Hitler would have been proud of, and which the Tea Party is against:

* Obama had four U.S. citizens killed without judicial process.

* In May 2011, Obama signed a renewal of the Patriot Act.

* In December 2011, Obama signed a bill that gave the U.S. government the power to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens without any charges being filed or any trial taking place.

* President Obama has defended warrantless wiretapping.

* In Germany in 1938, Adolf Hitler outlawed homeschooling. He said “Give me a child when he’s seven and he’s mine forever.” Hitler’s ban on homeschooling is still in effect today. In 2006, Katharina Plett was arrested for homeschooling her own children. Her husband and their children fled the country. In 2008, Juergen and Rosemary Dudek were sentenced to 90 days in jail for homeschooling their own children. Uwe and Hannelore Romeike and their homeschooled children fled Germany after the police showed up at their house to enforce Germany’s ban on homeschooling. They came to the United States in 2010 and were granted political asylum, which gave them legal permission to live in the U.S. as political refugees  However, in March 2013, the Obama administration argued in federal court in favor of deporting them and sending them back to Germany. This means that Obama does not consider them to be political refugees, and that he does not consider Germany’s policy of jailing homeschooling parents to be a form of persecution.

Dr. Armstrong, the Nazis supported bigger government. The Tea Party supports smaller government. The two philosophies have absolutely nothing in common.

For the record, in the 2008 United States election, I wrote in Ron Paul for President. In the 2012 election, I voted for Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson.

Dr. Armstrong, did you vote for Obama? If so, besides having done the horrible things that I mentioned above, I also would like to draw your attention to these hundreds of other horrible things that Obama has done.

Anyway, if there is any one thing that I hope you get out of this, it is the following: the Nazis supported BIGGER government – the Tea Party supports SMALLER government.

Extreme media bias: CNN reporter says she was “shocked” to find out there were black witnesses whose testimony backed Darren Wilson

On November 25, 2014, CNN reporter Ashleigh Banfield said:

“I was shocked at the corroborative witnesses that backed Officer Wilson’s story. I didn’t know there was as many as there were and I didn’t know they were African-American.”

For crying out loud – she is a reporter at cable’s first all news network! If she didn’t know this until now, how could the general population have known it?

No wonder why so many people think Michael Brown was “murdered.”

Anyone who reads real news websites, such as Drudge Report and Free Republic, is not “shocked” about the existence of these witnesses, because we already knew about them a long time ago.

This proves that the mainstream media has failed to do its job in covering this news story.

Jihadists in Syria write home to France: ‘My iPod is broken. I want to come back’

What exactly did these idiots think it was going to be like?

If any of them do return to France, I hope they get charged with aiding terrorists, convicted, and sentenced to life in prison.

And I hope that innocent baby gets French citizenship, and is adopted by more rational parents.

The Telegraph reports:

Jihadists in Syria write home to France: ‘My iPod is broken. I want to come back’

French jihadists complain about the cold, not knowing how to fight and how their iPods are running out

December 2, 2014

Letters from French jihadists home to their parents have revealed the misery, boredom and fear suffered by Islamist recruits as the gloss fades from their big adventure.

In a series of letters seen by Le Figaro newspaper, some of the 376 French currently fighting in Syria have begged for advice on how to return. Others have complained that, rather than participating in a noble battle, they have been acting as jihadi dogsbodies.

“I’ve basically done nothing except hand out clothes and food,” wrote one, who wants to return from Aleppo. “I also help clean weapons and transport dead bodies from the front. Winter’s arrived here. It’s begun to get really hard.”

Another writes: “I’m fed up. They make me do the washing up.”

One Frenchman whinged that he wanted to come home because he was missing the comforts of life in France.

“I’m fed up. My iPod doesn’t work any more here. I have to come back.”

A third wrote fearfully: “They want to send me to the front, but I don’t know how to fight.”

Others were concerned, more prosaically, about the nationality of their baby, which was born in Syria and so not recognised by the French state.

Google billionaires request $539 million federal bailout after spending $1.6 billion of “stimulus” funding on failed solar power project

Ivanpah is a solar power company owned by Google, BrightSource Energy, and NRG.

In April 2011, as part of Obama’s “stimulus,” Obama gave Ivanpah a $1.6 billion loan guarantee to build a solar power plant.

In November 2014, when the plant was up and running, Associated Press reported that it was producing only “about half of its expected annual output.” The California Energy Commission blamed this failure on “clouds, jet contrails, and weather.”

In November 2014, Ivanpah asked Obama for a $539 million bailout.

Google is owned by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. At the time they requested this $539 million bailout, Page was the 19th richest person in the world, with assets of $30.4 billion, and Brin was the 20th richest person in the world, with assets of $30 billion.
