Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate Praises Company For Firing Woman Who Posted “All Lives Matter” on Facebook

Move over Gary Johnson, there’s a new idiot in town.

By Paul Joseph Watson

August 5, 2020

Libertarian Party presidential nominee Jo Jorgensen praised a company for firing an employee who had posted “all lives matter” on her private Facebook page as an example of the free market standing up against “systemic racism.”

Yes, really.

During a C-SPAN interview, Jorgensen argued that Rosa Parks was discriminated against because, “what a lot of people don’t realize is that that was a government-owned, government-run bus, and the only way that racism was able to go on for so long was the government was putting it into place.”

She then claimed that it’s harder for private companies to engage in ‘systemic racism’ because they would go out of business, before celebrating the fact that a woman lost her job for posting “all lives matter” on her Facebook page.

“There was a woman who on her private Facebook – this was highly publicized – her private Facebook put ‘All Lives Matter,’ and the company fired her,” Jorgensen stated.

“And what I’d like to make note of she wasn’t talking to or wasn’t tweeting a coworker, an employee, a customer, a client, anybody like that, and this was her private Facebook, not the company Facebook, and yet the company said ‘OK, we don’t tolerate that.’”

Maybe someone should point out to Jorgensen that saying “all lives matter” isn’t remotely racist and that disagreeing with this statement is in fact a racist position.

Under her ideal system, woke corporations would feel even more empowered to trample free speech, opening up millions more Americans to be viciously targeted by cancel culture mobs who intimidate and bully companies into policing their employees’ behavior.

Jorgensen also claimed that “private companies cannot discriminate as easily and get off as scot-free as the federal government.”

Presumably she missed the last 4 years of rampant social media censorship, which has overwhelming targeted libertarians and conservatives.

No wonder the Libertarian Party is a national joke.

Jorgensen makes Gary Johnson look like a bastion of logic and credibility.

Jo Jorgensen: I’m running for president as a libertarian – and I want you to understand what libertarianism really means

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/libertarianism-meaning-trump-healthcare-medicare-wars-environment-a9621221.html

I’m running for president as a libertarian – and I want you to understand what libertarianism really means

First of all, I want to turn America into one giant Switzerland – armed and neutral

By Jo Jorgensen

July 15, 2020

Polarization in American politics sometimes feels like it’s at an all-time high.

Last year, the Pew Research Center conducted a poll on Americans’ feelings about ideologies. Predictably, Republicans approved of conservatives and disapproved of liberals and progressives, and Democrats felt the opposite. But in this time of division, one label earned majority support from both groups: libertarian.

What, then, does it mean to be a libertarian?

Libertarians believe that as long as people are not harming others, they should be left to do as they wish. We know that communities are best equipped to handle most issues and that people spend their money better than any politician ever could. We welcome free trade and open immigration, and encourage peace and diplomacy in foreign affairs.

As president, I want to unite Americans behind the cause of personal responsibility and individual liberty.

Take healthcare. For decades, American politicians have insisted that the free market has failed and that we need to go to a single-payer system.

I have news for them: we haven’t had anything even resembling a competition-based system in nearly a century. The alternative to our current, big-government failure isn’t an even bigger government failure.

The most startling problem with the American healthcare system is that most insurance is government-mandated, and therefore is not actual insurance. Real insurance only pays for unexpected costs, and because of that, costs generally remain low.

Just think how expensive car insurance would be if it paid for gas, oil changes, or car washes. Americans would have no reason to shop around for those services, and all of the gas stations and mechanics could increase costs without them even knowing. The car insurance companies wouldn’t care because they would be getting paid big dollars either way.

This is exactly what has happened in our healthcare system: there is no incentive to look for better prices, and as a result, healthcare providers have no reason to compete. Insurance companies can charge higher prices without any accountability, and all of us have to foot the bill.

The two most free-market health specialties — cosmetic surgery and LASIK surgery — are convincing examples. Because insurance doesn’t pay for these procedures, patients shop around for the best price and quality, and doctors have to compete with each other to get their business. In both of these specialties, unlike the rest of healthcare, prices have gone down while quality has gone up.

The best example of how a market-based healthcare system can operate is in Singapore, which reserves the use of insurance for catastrophic care. In 2014, Singapore spent less than a third per person on healthcare than what the United States spent.

So, how about another big American issue: the military?

I want to turn America into one giant Switzerland – armed and neutral.

Virtually none of the countries we’ve invaded since the Second World War have posed a clear and present danger to America. These needless wars caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of American soldiers and foreign citizens, and wasted trillions of taxpayer dollars. Worse, the damage we left behind only created new enemies.

It’s time to bring America to peace. We must stop inserting ourselves in countries where we don’t belong. We should instead engage the world through free trade; history shows that peaceful commerce prevents conflict. When goods don’t cross borders, troops do.

And then there’s the environment. When you look at a globe, you’ll quickly notice that countries with larger governments tend to have more pollution. Freer markets lead to innovation and better technology, and away from older and dirtier sources of energy.

We need to take advantage of nuclear energy. Companies like Rolls Royce are innovating to earn business, and as a result, they are now developing reactors that are safer and one-tenth of their original size.

Progressives have rightfully railed against the Department of Defense as the world’s largest polluter. But if government is the problem, then why would we trust them to fix it? This is the same federal government that grants $15 billion annually in subsidies to oil and coal companies and whose red tape prevents cleaner and more sustainable energy from entering the marketplace.

Lastly, it’s important to consider education. Education should be a local issue decided by parents, teachers, and students. Instead, we have a federal Department of Education, which imposes a top-down, one-size-fits-all curriculum. It is more concerned with the next standardized test than preparing children for adulthood. Schools have had little incentive to compete or improve, as parents often get stuck sending their kids to the school nearest where they happen to live.

Instead of allowing only those with the resources to pay for private schooling to have a choice, we owe that right to all American families.

I just added items #1,367 through #1,375 to my list of Obama’s lies and lawbreaking

The complete list can be found at https://danfromsquirrelhill.wordpress.com/2013/08/15/obama-252/

Here are the new entries:

1,367) Chicago community organizers accused Chicago community organizer Obama of not practicing what he preaches

Before Obama ran for political office, he was a community organizer in Chicago.

Later, as an ex-President, he was planning to build his presidential library in Chicago.

However, the city’s other community organizers accused Obama of not practicing what he preaches.

In November 2017, the Washington Post reported:

In what local pundits are calling the irony of ironies, Obama — who cut his teeth as a South Side community organizer — is now in the bull’s eye of the area’s community organizers.

Dozens of groups have asked the city, the Obama Foundation and the University of Chicago (the official library host) to sign a legally binding pledge to protect low-income housing and homeowners, set aside 80 percent of jobs for immediate neighbors and bolster support for black-owned businesses, among other things.

At a community meeting last month, Obama said he wasn’t interested, according to the Chicago Tribune. Agreements such as those, he said, can be highly successful for communities dealing with for-profit developers.

“But here’s the thing,” he said. “We are a nonprofit and aren’t making money. We are just bringing money to the community.”

1,368) Obama was photographed smiling with racist and anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan

Louis Farrakhan is a racist and anti-Semite.

Askia Muhammad is a professional, award-winning journalist who “doggedly covered” Obama.

In 2005, Muhammad took a photograph of Obama and Farrakhan smiling together.

However, Muhammad did not let the photograph be published at the time.

It wasn’t until a year after Obama left the White House that Muhammad allowed the photograph to be published.

In January 2018, Muhammad said that he held the photograph back from publication because, regarding Obama’s chance of getting elected President:

“I insist. It absolutely would have made a difference.”

1,369) Photographs show how horribly the Obama administration treated illegal aliens

The photographs at this link show how horribly the Obama administration treated illegal aliens.

1,370) Obama supporters falsely blamed President Trump for a 2014 photograph of illegal alien children being mistreated by the Obama administration

In May 2018, Obama supporters falsely blamed President Trump for a 2014 photograph of illegal alien children being mistreated by the Obama administration.

1,371) “Obama administration approved $200G grant to group with Al Qaeda ties”

In July 2018, Fox News reported:

Obama administration approved $200G grant to group with Al Qaeda ties

The Obama administration approved a $200,000 grant to a group in Sudan with ties to Al Qaeda even though it had been designated a terrorist-financing organization by the U.S. years earlier…

Further, an agency official acknowledged the prior administration allowed taxpayer money to flow to the group even after its designation was discovered.

The 2014 grant to the Islamic Relief Agency, through the U.S. Agency for International Development, was revealed by Sam Westrop of the Middle East Forum in a story for the National Review.

“More stunningly, government officials specifically authorized the release of at least $115,000 of this grant even after learning that it was a designated terror organization,” Westrop wrote in the article.

1,372) The “most transparent administration in history” did not tell the public when it approved a $200,000 grant to an organization with ties to Al Qaeda

In 2014, the Obama administration approved a $200,000 grant to the Islamic Relief Agency, a Sudanese organization with ties to Al Qaeda. However, the grant was kept secret until 2018.

1,373) After Obama said “I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money,” he signed a book deal which was worth at least $30 million

In April 2010, Obama said

“I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money.”

You can see him saying it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpoTSeuLffA

However, less than two months after leaving the White House, he signed a book deal which was worth at least $30 million.

1,374) At the same time that Obama criticized rich people who owned mansions, he owned an $8.1 million mansion

In July 2018, Obama said:

“There’s only so much you can eat. There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough.”

“History shows that societies which tolerate vast differences in wealth feed resentments and reduce solidarity and actually grow more slowly. And when economic power is concentrated in the hands of the few, history also shows that political power is sure to follow and that dynamic eats away at democracy.”

However, in June 2017, Obama had purchased an $8.1 million mansion in Washington D.C.

1,375) Obama nominee Judge Staci Michelle Yandle illegally maintained the U.S. citizenship of al-Qaida terrorist Iyman Faris, who had met with Osama bin Laden, had planned to destroy the Brooklyn Bridge, and had falsely claimed to be a student on his immigration application

In January 2014, Obama nominated Staci Michelle Yandle to be a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

In July 2018, Yandle ruled that an immigrant and al-Qaida terrorist named Iyman Faris could keep his U.S. citizenship.

However, Yandle’s ruling was in violation of federal law. Federal law required Faris to be deported because he had lied on his immigration application.

Faris had traveled to Afghanistan, where he had met with Osama bin Laden.

Faris had also traveled to Pakistan, where he had met with Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, who was named as “the principal architect of the 9/11 attacks” in the 9/11 Commission Report. Mohammed told Faris that he was setting up a plan to destroy the Brooklyn Bridge by slashing its suspension cables. Faris agreed to participate in this.

Like the 9/11 terrorists, Faris had come to the U.S. on a student visa, but never actually enrolled in school.

ABC News reported that Faris had

“admitted he was an al Qaeda sleeper – a terrorist lying in wait for instructions”

and that he

“had access to airports and was licensed to haul flammable, poisonous chemicals”

Poll: Libertarian Johnson beating Trump, Clinton among active troops

July 20, 2016

Military troops favor Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson for president over Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, according to a new survey.

Johnson garnered 38.7 percent of the active duty vote, versus 30.9 for Trump, and 14.1 for Clinton, according to the survey, which was conducted via the popular military personality Doctrine Man.

Although the survey was not a scientific poll with a margin of error, it provides a snapshot of the preferences of about 3,500 active duty, reservists, retired and former members of the military and their family members, 95.7 percent of which were registered voters.

Among all services except for the Navy, Johnson performed better than Trump and Clinton.

Current, reserve and former members of the Army preferred Johnson at 35.4 percent. Trump, the Republican nominee, came in second at 31.4 percent, and Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, at 15.3 percent.

Among the Marine community, an overwhelming 44.1 percent chose Johnson, while 27.1 percent chose Trump, and 12.7 percent chose Clinton.

The majority of the Air Force respondents chose Johnson at 39 percent, but Trump next at 29.9 percent and Clinton at 12.9 percent.

Trump ranked the top choice for the Navy community, at 32.4 percent, versus 31.7 percent for Johnson and 22.9 percent for Clinton.

Despite Clinton’s underwhelming performance among active duty troops in the poll, their family members preferred Clinton at 29.4 percent to 27.5 percent for Trump. Johnson came in third, at 24.5 percent.

Trump came out on top among members of the military who retired after serving at least 20 years.

Retirees preferred Trump at 37.4 percent, compared to 32.2 percent for Johnson and only 11 percent for Hillary Clinton.

However, when former members of the military who served fewer than 20 years were included, Johnson came in first, at 36.1 percent, while Hillary Clinton garnered 12.6 percent.

The new survey underscores the unpopularity of both Trump and Clinton, something that was also reflected in a recent Military Times survey.

Troops have found themselves at the center of several heated campaign debates, many of them sparked by Trump.

Trump has said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who was held captive during the Vietnam War, is “not a war hero” and has said that if he ordered troops to re-institute waterboarding, they would do it. Trump has also called for killing terrorists’ families.

Trump has also railed against the Department of Veteran Affairs and suggested Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl should be executed for leaving his post.

The attention to troops this campaign cycle has prompted the nation’s top military officer, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford, to remind troops not to politicize the military during the elections.

“What we must collectively guard against is allowing our institution to become politicized, or even perceived as being politicized, by how we conduct ourselves during engagements with the media, the public, or in open or social forums,” he wrote in the July issue of Joint Force Quarterly, a military academic journal.
