I can no longer support a system that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it, so will your opportunities. If that happens, you can find me in the Caribbean sitting on the beach, under a palm tree, retired, and with no employees to worry about.

This guy’s tone of voice and calm demeanor make him sound like he could be a trusted teacher, friend, or relative. I think if I knew him in real life, we could be friends, and enjoy each other’s company. He certainly seems well intentioned. (more…)
I’m a Libertarian. I have never voted for a candidate who supported military interventionism, corporate welfare, or the war on drugs.
Why don’t the people at Democratic Underground hate Obama for doing the same things they hated Bush for doing?
Let’s look at some examples. Each and every one of these examples includes a link (in the blue text) to prove that Obama really did do these things.
Issue 1: Military interventionism
In June 2011, U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) said that Obama had violated the Constitution when he launched military operations in Libya without Congressional approval.
The people at DU (Democratic Underground) hated Bush for his military interventionism in Iraq. Why don’t they hate Obama for his military inerventionism in Libya? (more…)
Mitt Romney is in favor of the $700 billion TARP corporate-welfare bailout that was signed by President Bush, and voted for by Senators McCain and Obama. What this means is that for two consecutive Presidential elections, all of the candidates from the two major parties are people who are in favor of TARP. (more…)
