This season one episode of “The Jeffersons” is called “Like Father Like Son.” As is always the case with early seasons of this excellent show, the entire episode is worth watching. But the part I most want to draw your attention to runs from 13:08 to 16:28

I think you might be referring to “George and Archie Make a Deal” from season five. George runs for political office as a Republican, and the only member of the Bunker household who votes for him is Archie. YouTube has it here, divided into two separate videos:
